TL;DR: In this article, the trigger guard retainer latch is attached to a bracket structure which is movable either to a first position where the bracket prevents outward movement of the arms and clamp members to thereby prevent release of the trigger, or to a second position where a bracket is moved away from the arms to permit the trigger to be pulled through the clamp members.
