Elevated prenatal anti-Müllerian hormone reprograms the fetus and induces polycystic ovary syndrome in adulthood
Brooke Tata,Brooke Tata,Nour El Houda Mimouni,Nour El Houda Mimouni,Anne-Laure Barbotin,Samuel A. Malone,Samuel A. Malone,Anne Loyens,Anne Loyens,Pascal Pigny,Didier Dewailly,Didier Dewailly,Sophie Catteau-Jonard,Sophie Catteau-Jonard,Inger Sundström-Poromaa,Terhi Piltonen,Federica Dal Bello,Claudio Medana,Vincent Prevot,Vincent Prevot,Jerome Clasadonte,Jerome Clasadonte,Paolo Giacobini,Paolo Giacobini +23 more
TL;DR: A critical role is highlighted for excess prenatal AMH exposure and subsequent aberrant GnRH receptor signaling in the neuroendocrine dysfunctions of PCOS, while offering a new potential therapeutic avenue to treat the condition during adulthood.
Role of Anti-Müllerian Hormone in the Pathogenesis of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.
TL;DR: Clinical and experimental evidences currently available are discussed and pathophysiological hypothesis are proposed for the role of AMH in the disturbed folliculogenesis, gonadotropin dysregulation and trans-generational transmission of PCOS.
Whole-exome sequencing in patients with maturation arrest: a potential additional diagnostic tool for prevention of recurrent negative testicular sperm extraction outcomes
Farah Ghieh,Anne-Laure Barbotin,Nelly Swierkowski-Blanchard,Clara Leroy,Joanne Fortemps,C. Gerault,Christophe Hue,Hendrick Mambu Mambueni,Sylvie Jaillard,Martine Albert,Marc Bailly,Vincent Izard,D. TL;DR: The results suggest that WES screening could help to avoid recurrent, futile TESE in men with MA in general and in consanguineous individuals in particular, but these results need to be confirmed in future studies before clinical implementation.

Impact of endometriosis on oocyte morphology in IVF-ICSI: retrospective study of a cohort of more than 6000 mature oocytes.
Camille Robin,Audrey Uk,Christine Decanter,Hélène Behal,P. Collinet,Chrystèle Rubod,Anne-Laure Barbotin,Geoffroy Robin +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated the relationship between endometriosis and oocyte morphology after controlled ovarian stimulation for intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) on a large oocyte cohort.
Defining reference ranges for serum anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) on a large cohort of normozoospermic adult men.
Hamza Benderradji,Anne-Laure Barbotin,Maryse Leroy-Billiard,Julie Prasivoravong,François Marcelli,Christine Decanter,Geoffroy Robin,Valérie Mitchell,Jean-Marc Rigot,Antonino Bongiovanni,Florent Sauve,Luc Buée,Claude-Alain Maurage,Maryse Cartigny,Arnauld Villers,V. TL;DR: Interestingly, using immunofluorescence, it is documented for the first time that AMH type-II receptor (AMH-R2) is expressed in ejaculated human spermatozoa and gonadotrophic cells in postmortem pituitary gland, highlighting new potential functions of AMH in regulating sperm motility or FSH secretion in adult men.
