Preparation and characterisation of silica monoliths using a triblock copolymer (F68) as porogen
TL;DR: The triblock copolymer was compared to the classical PEG, in the formation of silica monoliths and was demonstrated to lead to co-continuous structures in a wider composition range, presenting smaller through pores.

Thin-coated water soluble CdTeS alloyed quantum dots as energy donors for highly efficient FRET.
Akram Yahia-Ammar,Aline Nonat,Anne Boos,Jean-Luc Rehspringer,Zouhair Asfari,Loïc J. Charbonnière +5 more
TL;DR: The synthesis of highly luminescent water soluble CdTe(x)S(y) quantum dots (QDs) is described and their elemental composition and optical properties are fully characterized and a model for the determination of their molecular formulas, molecular weights and extinction coefficients is proposed.

Solid‐Liquid Extraction of Lanthanum(III), Europium(III), and Lutetium(III) by Acyl‐Hydroxypyrazoles Entrapped in Mesostructured Silica
TL;DR: In this paper, the solid-liquid extraction of lanthanum, europium, and lutetium by mesostructured silicas doped with 1phenyl-3-methyl-4-stearoyl−5-pyrazolone (HPMSP, bearing one chelating site) or with 1,12-bis (1.12−bis) was studied and compared to the analogous solvent and micellar extractions in terms of the extracted complex and of the extraction efficiency.

Preparation of silicas impregnated with HPBI, HPMSP and DEHPA and their application in the solid–liquid extraction of Cu(II) and Zn(II)
Hafida Miloudi,Abdelkader Tayeb,Anne Boos,Zeina Mehyou,Geneviève Goetz-Grandmont,Abdelkader Bengueddach +5 more
TL;DR: The synthesis of mesostructured silicas impregnated with acidic chelators, including an acylisoxazolone 3-phenyl-4-benzoyl-5-isoxozolone (HPBI) and an organophosphoric acid di-(2-ethylhexyl)-phosphoric acids (DEHPA) was undertaken in this paper.

Confining caesium in expanded natural Perlite
TL;DR: In this paper, expanded perlite, a metastable amorphous hydrated aluminum silicate, is used as a permanent medium for the long-term confinement of caesium.
