Enhancing fairness and congestion control in multipath TCP
Amanpreet Singh,Mei Xiang,Andreas Könsgen,Carmelita Goerg,Yasir Zaki +4 more
- 23 Apr 2013
TL;DR: The proposed solutions give good performance in most of the different bottleneck scenarios while staying friendly to legacy transport protocols, and are shown to be fair to standard TCP.

Mobility management for an integrated network platform
Koojana Kuladinithi,Andreas Könsgen,Stefan Aust,Nikolaus Albert Fikouras,Carmelita Görg +4 more
- 10 Dec 2002
TL;DR: The NOMAD test-bed is described, based on different Mobile IP versions and software for ad-hoc networking using the AODV protocol, and the improvements achieved in the area of handoff delays are described.

Teaching the internet of things
Anna Förster,Jens Dede,Andreas Könsgen,Asanga Udugama,Idrees Zaman +4 more
- 05 Jan 2017
TL;DR: This column discusses how the University of Bremen approached the Internet of Things problem: with hands-on experience and concept abstraction.

Transmit Power Control Algorithms in IEEE 802.11h Based Networks
Andreas Könsgen,Z. Hossain,Carmelita Görg +2 more
- 11 Sep 2005
TL;DR: It is shown that both transmit power control algorithms significantly reduce the transmit power and improve the quality-of-service characteristics of wireless networks.

Design issues of Mobile IP handoffs between General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) networks and wireless LAN (WLAN) systems
Stefan Aust,D. Proetel,Andreas Könsgen,Cornel Pampu,C. Gorg +4 more
- 16 Dec 2002
TL;DR: This paper describes the system design and implementation of a demonstrator prototype, running at University of Bremen, which implements Mobile IP handoffs between GPRS and WLAN systems using tunneling functions and an additional Mobile IP foreign agent to provide G PRS network access.
