Human and veterinary antibiotics during composting of sludge or manure: Global perspectives on persistence, degradation, and resistance genes.
Amine Ezzariai,Mohamed Hafidi,Ahmed Khadra,Quentin Aemig,Loubna El Fels,Maialen Barret,Georges Merlina,Dominique Patureau,Eric Pinelli +8 more
TL;DR: Additional researches are needed, gathering chemical, microbiological and toxicological data to better understand the implied removal mechanisms, the interactions between both components and the environmental matrices and how composting process could be optimized to reduce the discharge of antibiotics and antibiotic resistance genes into the environment.

Fate of antibiotics present in a primary sludge of WWTP during their co-composting with palm wastes.
Ahmed Khadra,Amine Ezzariai,Georges Merlina,Marion-Justine Capdeville,Hélène Budzinski,Hassan Hamdi,Eric Pinelli,Mohamed Hafidi +7 more
TL;DR: Assessment of antibiotics concentrations during co-composting showed that clarithromycin is more degraded particularly during the stabilization stage, the degradation of lincomycin and tetracyclines is more significant during the maturation stage and Ampicillin and trimethoprim were degraded all along the process of co- composting.

A Comprehensive Evaluation of the Existing Approaches for Controlling and Managing the Proliferation of Water Hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes): Review
Fadoua Karouach,Widad Ben Bakrim,Amine Ezzariai,Mansour Sobeh,Mulugeta Kibret,Abdelaziz Yasri,Mohamed Hafidi,Lamfeddal Kouisni +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a review highlights the control programs that have been tested worldwide and describes, through a deep literature analysis and comparison, the most effective and sustainable control programs for managing the proliferation of this aquatic weed.
Eichhornia crassipes (Mart.) Solms: A Comprehensive Review of Its Chemical Composition, Traditional Use, and Value-Added Products
Widad Ben Bakrim,Amine Ezzariai,Fadoua Karouach,Mansour Sobeh,Mulugeta Kibret,Mohamed Hafidi,Lamfeddal Kouisni,Abdelaziz Yasri +7 more
TL;DR: The findings of this review suggest that extracts and some isolated compounds from E. crassipes possess some pharmacological activities including anticancer, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, skin whitening, neuroprotective, and hepatoprotective activities, among other biological activities such as allelopathic, larvicidal, and insecticidal activities.
Evaluation of the antibiotics effects on the physical and chemical parameters during the co-composting of sewage sludge with palm wastes in a bioreactor.
Amine Ezzariai,Maialen Barret,Georges Merlina,Georges Merlina,Eric Pinelli,Eric Pinelli,Mohamed Hafidi +6 more
TL;DR: The microbiological approach showed that the adsorption of antibiotics on the rachis could be probably responsible of the fungi inhibition especially during the maturation phase, and the medium and high levels of antibiotics affected the thermal, physical and chemical parameters as well as the compost quality.
