TL;DR: The annotation and analysis of the draft genome sequence of Brassica rapa accession Chiifu-401-42, a Chinese cabbage, and used Arabidopsis thaliana as an outgroup for investigating the consequences of genome triplication, such as structural and functional evolution.
Interactions between auxin and strigolactone in shoot branching control
TL;DR: It is suggested that both auxin and strigolactone have the capacity to modulate each other's levels and distribution in a dynamic feedback loop required for the coordinated control of axillary branching.

TL;DR: This work presents a meta-analysis of the putative mechanisms behind the Evolutionary Relationship of the Putative SmCPS1- and SmC PS2- Gene Clusters and co-Expression Analysis of CYPs with SmCps1 and 437 Putative CYPs in the S. miltiorrhiza Genome.

TL;DR: Transcriptome data show that tandem duplicates are significantly up- and down-regulated in response to anthracnose infection, whereas polyploid duplicating are not, supporting the general view that collections of tandem duplicate contribute evolutionarily recent “tuning knobs” in the genome adaptive landscapes of given species.
Utilization of crop heterosis: a review
TL;DR: This review presents and compares three categories of crop heterosis utilization: intraspecific heterosis, intersubspecific heterosis and wide-hybridization heterosis with particular focus on polyploid species, and seeks insight into best practices for amplifying heterosis potential.
