Investigation on the performance of SiAlON ceramic drills on aerospace grade CFRP composites
TL;DR: In this article, the impact of cutting parameters and geometrical features on the cutting forces and the peel-up delamination of the machined holes were investigated for the first time in the literature as cutting tool materials for drilling of carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) composites.

Carbon nanotube/boehmite-derived alumina ceramics obtained by hydrothermal synthesis and spark plasma sintering (SPS)
TL;DR: In this paper, the preparation, structure and properties of hydrothermally treated carbon nanotube/boehmite (CNT/γ-AlOOH) and densification with spark plasma sintering of Al 2 O 3 and CNT/Al 2O 3 nanocomposites were investigated.

Dopant-dependent diffusion behavior of SiAlON ceramics against Inconel 718 superalloy
TL;DR: In this paper, the dopant-dependent diffusion behavior of SiAlON ceramics, prepared by using different rare-earth elements (Y, Yb, Er and Ce), against Inconel 718 alloy was investigated.

Fabrication of porous Al2O3 ceramics using carbon black as a pore forming agent by spark plasma sintering
TL;DR: In this paper , porous alumina ceramics were prepared by adding 5 −30 vol% carbon black (CB) powders with different specific surface area (SSA) into the alumina matrix as a pore forming agent and application of partial sintering via Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) technique.

Silicon nitride ceramic for all-ceramic dental restorations.
TL;DR: Si3N4 is an attractive ceramic for dental applications with good mechanical properties even in porous form, it has additional advantages over the conventional ceramics used as restorative material, such as, inherent antibacterial/anti-infective activity, radiolucency, and lower hardness.
