Pressure-guided nonsurgical myocardial reduction induced by small septal infarctions in hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy
Peter Boekstegers,P. Steinbigler,Alexander Molnar,Martin Schwaiblmair,Alexander Becker,Andreas Knez,Ralph Haberl,Gerhard Steinbeck +7 more
TL;DR: Pressure-guided NSMR inducing small septal infarctions was sufficient to result in a sustained decrease in LVOT obstruction and to improve symptoms, and the incidence of complications seems to be diminished by minimizing the infarct size.

Rapid direct antibiotic susceptibility testing in endophthalmitis
Herminia Miño de Kaspar,Herminia Miño de Kaspar,Aljoscha S. Neubauer,Alexander Molnar,Angela S Hoepfner,Christopher N. Ta,Thomas Grasbon,Michael Engelbert,Martin Thiel,Volker Klauss,Anselm Kampik +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared a new rapid antibiotic susceptibility test (RAST) to the conventional method in patients with endophthalmitis and found that RAST provided accurate antibiotic susceptibility results in a much shorter time than did the conventional methods.

Left atrial remodeling and right ventricular-pulmonary arterial coupling after MitraClip implantation
Alexander Molnar,D. Pasztor,Adrian Santa,Istvan Hizoh,E. Straub,Anikó Ilona Nagy,A. Astrid,László Gellér,Béla Merkely +8 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated the effect of TEER in patients with severe mitral regurgitation (MR) on left atrial (LA) function and RV-pulmonary arterial coupling.
Clinical determinants of non-invasive global myocardial work index before and after transcatheter aortic valve implantation: a prospective study

TL;DR: Different clinical factors influence GMWI before and after the procedure: age, NYHA class-based symptom severity and having a pacemaker were found to be independently associated with preoperative GMWI, while gender, the presence of diabetes mellitus and pacemaker device are the most important clinical determinants of the postoperative GM WI value.
