Tournament outcomes and prosocial behaviour
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors designed an experiment to collect data on charitable donations made by participants out of their earnings from a real-effort tournament, and found that participants who were ranked first donated significantly more than others, supporting the view that positive affect from winning may increase generosity.

Duration and Persistence in Multidimensional Deprivation: Methodology and Australian Application*
Aaron Nicholas,Ranjan Ray +1 more
TL;DR: This paper extends the recent literature on static multidimensional deprivation to propose dynamic deprivation measures that incorporate both the persistence and duration of deprivation across multiple dimensions and exploits the subgroup decomposability of the deprivation measures to identify the subgroups that are more deprived than others.

Demographic demand systems with application to equivalence scales estimation and inequality analysis: The Australian evidence
TL;DR: In this article, an alternative demographic procedure for extending a demand system to allow for the effect of household size and composition changes, along with price changes, on expenditure allocation is proposed and applied to two recent demand functional forms.
Evaluating the distributional implications of price movements: Methodology, application and Australian evidence
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the distributional implication of relative price movements in Australia and proposed a new demographic demand model that yields sensible and statistically significant estimates of the general equivalence scale and the size economies of scale.

Evaluating the distributional implications of price movements: methodology, application and australian evidence
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the distributional implication of inflation in Australia and proposed a new demographic demand model that yields sensible and well determined estimates of the general equivalence scale and the size economies of scale.
