TL;DR: Congenital N type anourethral fistulae are rare, but should be considered in cases of recurrent urinary tract infections, and the diagnosis may be missed by endoscopic procedures, but VCUG should demonstrate the fistulous tract.
TL;DR: Cine voiding cystourethrogram was found to be a good noninvasive test to study the dynamics of lower urinary tract without disturbing the state of the physiology.
TL;DR: An eight-year-old boy with recurrent urinary infection underwent Tc-99m DTPA renal scintigraphy for the evaluation of renal function and a well-defined, round area of activity extended from the bladder which was subsequently confirmed to be a diverticulum on voiding cystourethrogram and at surgery.
Abstract: An eight-year-old boy with recurrent urinary infection underwent Tc-99m DTPA renal scintigraphy for the evaluation of renal function. Stasis of the tracer was observed in the pelvocalyceal systems of both kidneys. Intravenous diuretic was administered to evaluate a possible mechanical obstruction. During the course of the study, a well-defined, round area of activity extended from the bladder which was subsequently confirmed to be a diverticulum on voiding cystourethrogram and at surgery.
TL;DR: A retrograde voiding cystourethrogram is the preferred study to assess the severity of Vesicoureteral reflux.
Abstract: Vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) is the most common anatomical predisposition to pyelonephritis. A retrograde voiding cystourethrogram is the preferred study to assess the severity of VUR. Most children with VUR will respond to medical management. The prevention of urinary tract infections is fundamental to the management of children with VUR.
TL;DR: The prenatal diagnosis of an abdominal cystic mass by ultrasonographic examination was made and a postnatal diagnosis of a urachal bladder Diverticulum suggested by a voiding cystourethrogram was confirmed at surgery, at which time the base of the diverticulum was excised and the bladder was repaired in layers.

TL;DR: The preliminary results coupled with those in the literature signify a need to screen the offspring of known reflux patients and suggest a rethinking of the genetic transmission for this trait.
TL;DR: A prospective study to identify the incidence of vesicoureteral reflux in the siblings of patients with reflux found a slightly higher rate of reflux was found in the female siblings of female index patients, which is a variation from the initial study.
