Abstract: A list of 22 new distributional records is presented for 16 Mordellidae species from the Western Palearctic: Variimorda caprai (Franciscolo, 1951) (Montenegro); V. mendax Mequignon, 1946 (Montenegro); Mordellistena falsoparvula Ermisch, 1956 (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro); M. olympica Ermisch, 1965 (Cyprus, Montenegro); M. kraatzi Emery, 1876 (Morocco); M. longicornis Mulsant, 1856 (Morocco); M. dives Emery, 1876 (Kazakhstan); M. krujanensis Ermisch, 1963 (Montenegro); M. tarsata Mulsant, 1856 (Cyprus, North Macedonia); M. michalki Ermisch, 1956 (Kyrgyzstan); M. thuringiaca Ermisch, 1963 (Bulgaria, Montenegro, Slovakia, Spain); M. koelleri Ermisch, 1956 (Italy, Montenegro); Mordellistenula longipalpis Ermisch, 1965 (Montenegro); Mordellochroa milleri (Emery, 1876) (Italy); Dellamora palposa Normand, 1916 (Italy). Abstract: The present study was undertaken to determine the species of tumbling flower beetles (Coleoptera, Mordellidae) found in Iraq. Specimens have been collected from different localities of Iraq since 1970. Results show that the tumbling flower beetles (Mordellidae) are represented with a total of 13 species belonging to four genera of three tribes, two of these species were described by Dr. Horak (1985,1990) as new species for Iraq Mediimorda maceki HoraK and Mordellistena bolognaHorak; two were previously reported Stenalia escherichi Schilsk and Mordellistena pumila (Gyllenhal) and ten are new records for Iraq. Stenalia araxicola Khnzorian, Stenalia brunneipennis Mulsant, Variimorda fasciata (Fabricious), Variimorda holzschuhi Horak, Mordellistena horaki Pino., Mordellistena kraatzi Emery, Mordellistena sp. prob. Micans Gemar, Mordellistena sp. near microspmelicte Ermish, Mordellistena paraepisterna Ermisch and Mordellistena pseudorugipennis Ermisch.

Variimorda briantea (Comolli, 1837), Mordellistena pseudopumila Ermisch, 1963 y Mordellistena variegata (Fabricius, 1798) (Mordellidae) son nuevas para Galicia. Variimorda basalis (A. Costa, 1854), Variimorda villosa (Schrank, 1781), Mordellistena pumila (Gyllenhal, 1810) (Mordellidae) y Anaspis kochi Ermisch, 1944 (Scraptiidae) son nuevas para la provincia de Leon. Esta ultima especie es el primer representante de la familia Scraptiidae citado para dicha provincia. Por ultimo, se enumeran tambien los registros previos de Mordellidae y Scraptiidae en ambas areas geografica hasta donde se ha podido revisar. Variimorda basalis (Costa, 1854), Variimorda villosa (Schrank, 1781), Mordellistena pumila (Gyllenhal, 1810) (Mordellidae) and Anaspis kochi Ermisch, 1944 (Scraptiidae) are new to the province of Leon. The latter species is the first member of the family Scraptiidae recorded for this province. Finally, as far as it was possible to review, all the previous records of Mordellidae and Scraptiidae in both geographical areas are also listed.
