Abstract: The basic and the most fundamental instruments for technical drawing are mechanical pencil, eraser, ruler, triangle, and remarkably the t square. However, the students may encounter several problems with regards to these basic drawing instruments. The student may find it bulky bringing all these instruments everyday in school; the student may find it inconvenient using several instruments one at a time and the student may not be able to buy all these drawing instruments. This research introduces an instrument that would help students in technical drawing. The researchers dubbed the device as Flexi Drawing Instrument (FDI). Aside from the conventional drawing instruments, there are already existing devices that are relatively parallel to the present research. There exist an Adjustable Angle T Square (www.alibaba.com) that is rotatable and has dual functions of drawing lines and angles. On the contrary, this drawing instrument can only provide 30, 45, 60, and 75 degree angle. In addition, this dual functions instrument can only be used one at a time. Meaning to say, one can only draw an angle unless the t square is not used. This type of instrument cannot satisfy the needs of our drafting and drawing students for it is very limited in its function and has a limited degree- angle available.
