The composite supporting structure comprises an original supporting wall and a new supporting wall, wherein the new supporting wall is adhered to the inner side surface of the original supporting wall, and extends towards the excavation depth direction of a foundation pit; and a gap is reserved between adhered surfaces of the new supporting wall and the original supporting wall and is filled with a reinforcing and force-transferring body. The composite supporting structure is particularly suitable for the situation that stories are required to be added in underground space after a foundation pit supporting wall for the underground space of the soft soil area is finished; earthwork can be excavated safely and conveniently in a basement storey-adding process; a new supporting wall portion which occupies the area of an added storey of the basement can be removed feasibly in a chiseling manner on the premise that the safety and the reliability of the whole basement are not affected; and a phenomenon that the new supporting wall occupies the building area of the basement in a construction stage is effectively avoided.
