Abstract: Rubroboletus le-galiae is reported for the first time from Poland. Macro- and micromorphological characters of the species are described and illustrated based on the study of material collected at three microlocalities in Łezczok reserve (SW Poland). The delimitation of R. le-galiae from related species of the genus Rubroboletus ( R. satans , R. rubrosanguineus , R. rhodoxanthus ) is shortly discussed and the knowledge of its ecology and distribution is briefly summarized.
