TL;DR: A comprehensive and detailed knowledge regarding the role of oleoglarors, oil phase, and Oleogelation mechanism on oleoglobalization is needed as mentioned in this paper .
Abstract: The growing awareness of the adverse health effects of trans-fats and saturated fats are driving researchers to seek healthy alternatives. A promising strategy to structure liquid oil, called oleogelation, has been a subject of great interest. In the development of oleogels, highly unsaturated oils can be structured through different gelation mechanisms by varying structuring agents (e.g., polymeric or low molecular weight oleogelators). Due to their potential to reduce saturated fat in food products while also providing solid texture without changing the oil's chemical composition and nutritional values, oleogels have been introduced into various products (meat, spread, and confectionary) as alternatives to traditional solid fats. However, the shortcomings of oleogels cannot be ignored, such as the softer texture and the poorer plasticity than traditional solid fat. As the physicochemical properties and functionalities of oleogels are highly dependent on their composition and structuring mechanism, it is possible to obtain a product with desirable functionality by choosing a suitable oleogelator or oil phase. Thus, comprehensive and detailed knowledge regarding the role of oleoglarors, oil phase, and oleogelation mechanism on oleogelation is needed. This review primarily focuses on published information within the last decades addressing how the composition and oleogelation mechanism affect the structure and functionality of oleogels and oleogel-based products. The factors affecting the oil gelation are summarized concerning three aspects: (i) oleogelator (chemical composition and molecular structure); (ii) oil phase (TAG composition and minor component); and (iii) oleogelation mechanism. Finally, the future perspectives toward oleogels are highlighted. This review aims to deepen the understanding of oleogelation and the rational design of oleogel-based products.
TL;DR: In this paper , a thermal assessment of Sutterby fluid containing radiation aspects over a linearly moving sheet embedded in a stratified medium is presented, which exposes the novelty of work.
Abstract: On the implication of tension force, viscoelastic materials deform in accordance with viscous and elastic characterization. Dilute polymer solutions portray the examples of viscoelastic liquids and Sutterby model successfully represent it due to high degree polymerization distributions. In addition, polymer aqueous solutions behave as shear thinning and thickening liquids in response to infinite shear stress so Sutterby fluid is considered as best model to depict the features of liquids at high stress magnitude. Diverse utilities of diluted polymeric solutions are encountered in industrial, biological and technological practices, for instance, agricultural sprayers, cleansing products, clay coaters, polymerized melts and many more. So, this research communicates theoretical and computational thermal assessment of Sutterby fluid containing radiation aspects over a linearly moving sheet embedded in stratified medium which exposes the novelty of work. Moreover, the impacts of magnetic field and chemical reactions are also obliged. So, the principal objective pertains to adumbrate flow behavior of Sutterby liquid in the attendance of aforementioned physical parameters. Mathematical formulation in view of governing relations are changed into non-dimensionalized form through transformation approach. Convergent and accurate solution is accessed through renowned numerical shooting procedure along with integrated Runge-Kutta scheme. The computed results of emerged parameters on velocity, concentration and thermal fields are revealed by means of snapshots. Magnitude of associated wall drag coefficient and reduced heat and mass fluxes are explained in graphical and tabular formats. The salient outcomes are as follows. Consequence of the proposed research investigation infers that augmenting power index momentum distribution decays whereas skin friction uplifts. Furthermore, it is inferred that concentration distribution amplifies against upsurging magnitude of solutal stratification parameter while opposite nature is noticed in case of temperature profile against associated stratification parameter. Additionally, it is concluded that escalating magnitude of radiation parameter tends to elevates the dimensionless temperature profile. Subsequently, rise in concentration profile against Schmidt number is observed whereas against Prandtl number temperature of fluid expressing declining aptitude. Also, declining response in momentum of fluid is manifested against Reynold and Deborah numbers.

TL;DR: In this article , the relative roles of turnover and nestedness components to trait-and taxonomy-based temporal beta diversity of riverine diatoms were examined, and whether inclusion of environment regimes increase their explained variations.
Abstract: A sound understanding of the community changes over time and its driving forces is at the centre of biodiversity conservation and ecology research. In this study, we examined: (i) the relative roles of turnover and nestedness components to trait‐ and taxonomy‐based temporal beta diversity of riverine diatoms; (ii) whether trait‐based temporal beta diversity provides complementary information to taxonomy‐based temporal beta diversity; (iii) the relative roles of hydrology (e.g. discharge, antecedent precipitation index), metal ions (e.g. Mg2+, Si2+) and nutrients (e.g. nitrogen, orthophosphate) to the both facets of temporal beta diversity and their components (i.e. total beta diversity, turnover and nestedness); and (iv) whether inclusion of environment regimes increase their explained variations. A total of 338 daily samples of riverine diatom communities were collected. We employed Mantel tests to evaluate the complementarities between trait‐ and taxonomy‐based temporal beta diversity. Using distance‐based redundancy analysis (db‐RDA) and variation partitioning, we investigated the relative roles of hydrology, metal ions and nutrients to each facet of temporal beta diversity and its components. Correlations between trait‐ and taxonomy‐based temporal beta diversity and their components were weak, which showed their complementary ecological information. Taxonomy‐based total beta diversity had a high contribution by turnover component, whereas trait‐based total beta diversity was largely driven by nestedness component. Results of variation partitioning demonstrated that the pure and shared fractions of hydrology, metal ions and nutrient differed among the components of trait‐ and taxonomy‐based temporal beta diversity. Furthermore, addition of environment regimes could dramatically increase the explained variation of temporal beta diversity and its components. Synthesis. Our results highlighted the importance of the two facets of temporal beta diversity as well as their decomposition for exploring diversity patterns of riverine diatoms in relation to abiotic factors, particularly the environment regimes. Although a high temporal taxonomic divergence was detected, the high level of temporal trait convergence indicated that species turnover with similar biological traits occurred during our study period. Our study, for the first time, provides a new perspective into temporal beta diversity of daily riverine diatom communities, which has not yet been documented by previous freshwater studies.

TL;DR: In this article , the authors provide a comprehensive review of appointment scheduling in healthcare service while they propose appointment scheduling problems and various applications and solution approaches in healthcare systems, including simulation models, mathematical optimization techniques, Markov chain, and artificial intelligence.
Abstract: This paper provides a comprehensive review of Appointment Scheduling (AS) in healthcare service while we propose appointment scheduling problems and various applications and solution approaches in healthcare systems. For this purpose, more than 150 scientific papers are critically reviewed. The literature and the articles are categorized based on several problem specifications, i.e., the flow of patients, patient preferences, and random arrival time and service. Several methods have been proposed to shorten the patient waiting time resulting in the shortest idle times in healthcare centers. Among existing modeling such as simulation models, mathematical optimization techniques, Markov chain, and artificial intelligence are the most practical approaches to optimizing or improving patient satisfaction in healthcare centers. In this study, various criteria are selected for structuring the recent literature dealing with outpatient scheduling problems at the strategic, tactical, or operational levels. Based on the review papers, some new overviews, problem settings, and hybrid modeling approaches are highlighted.
TL;DR: In this paper , a contribution to the growing field of diachronic construction grammar is made, focusing on corpus evidence for the importance of including conventionalized pragmatics within construction grammar and suggestions for how to do so.
Abstract: This book is a contribution to the growing field of diachronic construction grammar. Focus is on corpus evidence for the importance of including conventionalized pragmatics within construction grammar and suggestions for how to do so. The empirical domain is the development of Discourse Structuring Markers in English such as after all, also, all the same, by the way, further and moreover (also known as Discourse Markers). The term Discourse Structuring Markers highlights their use not only to connect discourse segments but also to shape discourse coherence and understanding. Monofunctional Discourse Structuring Markers like further, instead, moreover are distinguished from multifunctional ones like after all and by the way. Drawing on usage-based work on constructionalization and constructional changes, the book is in three parts: foundational concepts, case studies, and currently open issues in diachronic construction grammar. These open issues are how to incorporate the concepts subjectification and intersubjectification into a constructional account of change, whether position in a clause is a construction, and the nature of constructional networks and how they change.

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors analyze the pre-existing studies that investigate the link between the circular economy and financial aspects in order to understand the evolution of circular economy literature and its relationship with finance and propose an investigation of empirical evidence of economic-financial gains resulting from the adoption of circular production practices.
Abstract: The objective of this article is to analyze the pre-existing studies that investigate the link between the circular economy and financial aspects in order to understand the evolution of the circular economy literature and its relationship with finance. In addition, it proposes an investigation of empirical evidence of economic-financial gains resulting from the adoption of circular production practices. The methodology used to achieve this goal was a systematic review of the literature and bibliometric analysis. Thus, it was possible to conclude that the barriers faced by companies adopting the circular economy in relation to financial performance are defined by (i) the size of the business and the initial investment cost, (ii) difficulties for micro and small companies, (iii) to a more complex structuring of the business, and (iv) greater exposure to risk, as the circular economy is a new concept and is and not as representative as a linear standard system. The results show that few studies investigate corporate gains from circular production, which is, therefore, an important topic for future research and the major contribution of this paper.
TL;DR: In this paper , a framework of methods and techniques for distributed systems development is developed, which consists of two related domains: the entity domain and the behaviour domain, and two important behaviour structuring techniques have been identified from the possible ways causality relations can be distributed.
Abstract: This thesis develops a framework of methods and techniques for distributed systems development. This framework consists of two related domains in which design concepts for distributed systems are defined: the entity domain and the behaviour domain. In the entity domain we consider structures of functional entities and their interconnection, while in the behaviour domain we consider behaviour definition and structuring. An interaction in which we abstract from the particular responsibilities of the participating functional entities is considered as an action. Behaviours consist of actions, interactions and their relationships. Relationships between actions and interactions are defined in terms of causality relations. In each causality relation the conditions and constraints for an action or interaction to occur are defined. Two important behaviour structuring techniques have been identified from the possible ways causality relations can be distributed: causality-oriented behaviour composition and constraint-oriented behaviour composition. Causality-oriented behaviour composition consists of placing some conditions of an action and the action itself in different sub-behaviours. Constraint-oriented behaviour composition consists of placing parts of the conditions and constraints of an action in different sub-behaviours, such that this action is shared by these sub-behaviours. This thesis identifies milestones in the design process of distributed systems, as well as the design steps to move from one milestone to another. These design steps are characterized using the concepts of the entity and the behaviour domain. We identified two crucial design operations of the behaviour domain that support these design steps: behaviour refinement and action refinement. Behaviour refinement consists of introducing (internal) structure in the causality relations of reference actions of an abstract behaviour, but preserving their causality and exclusion relationships and their attribute values. Action refinement consists of replacing abstract actions by activities, such that the completion of these activities correspond to the occurrence of the abstract actions. One important characteristic of action refinement is the possibility of distributing attribute values of the abstract actions over actions of the activities that replace them in the concrete behaviours. The area of research, scope and objectives of this thesis are discussed in Chapter 1. The concept of design culture and its elements is introduced in this chapter in order to provide an overview of the important aspects of the design process. Entity domain, behaviour domain, and design milestones are introduced and discussed in Chapter 2. This chapter also discusses the global objectives of design steps, and the abstraction obtained by considering interactions between cooperating functional entities as actions of the interaction system between these entities. Action, action attributes, causality and exclusion are discussed in Chapter 3. This chapter shows how a behaviour can be defined in terms of the causality relations of its actions in a monolithic form. Causality-oriented behaviour composition is discussed in Chapter 4. Entries and exits of a behaviour are the mechanisms that make it possible to assign parts of a condition of an action and the action itself to different sub-behaviours. Constraint-oriented behaviour composition is discussed in Chapter 5. Decomposition possibilities of monolithic behaviours are systematically studied in this chapter. Behaviour refinement is discussed in Chapter 6. This chapter defines a method to obtain an abstraction of a concrete behaviour. This method can be used to check whether the concrete behaviour corresponds to a certain abstract behaviour. Action refinement is discussed in Chapter 7. This chapter identifies some activity forms, and define the rules for considering these activities as implementations of an abstract action. These rules are used in a method to derive an abstraction of a concrete behaviour in which the abstract actions are implemented as activities. This method can be used to check whether the concrete behaviour corresponds to a certain abstract behaviour. Chapter 8 discusses a design example that is meant to illustrate the use of our design concepts. The example is an interaction server, which is a component that supports the interaction between multiple functional entities. Chapter 9 draws some conclusions and revisits the design milestones of Chapter 2, showing alternatives for the design trajectory which have been created with the use of actions and interactions in a single framework.

TL;DR: In this article , the importance of laser micro/nanostructuring technology for micro/nano-engineering of the sensors is discussed and representative processing methods are elaborated from a laser-pulse-type point of view, with potential applications toward chemical, physical and biological targets based on different sensing mechanisms summarized.
Abstract: Post‐pandemic era poses an imperative demand on progressive sensing devices whose performance largely relies on the morphologies and structures of sensing materials. Despite substantial efforts and advances that have been made in sensing materials with different micro/nanoscale dimensionalities, it is still challenging to couple micro/nano platforms with sensing materials together for the precise and scalable production of high‐performance sensors toward practical application scenarios. Owing to noncontact, precise, and high‐efficiency features, laser micro/nanofabrication offers a promising solution to achieve high‐quality micro/nano sensors with novel functionalities in a relatively short time. Herein, this review begins with a glance over the development of micro/nano‐structured sensors and briefly discusses the importance of laser micro/nanostructuring technology for micro/nano‐engineering of the sensors. Next, representative processing methods are elaborated in detail from a laser‐pulse‐type point of view, with potential applications toward chemical, physical, and biological targets based on different sensing mechanisms summarized. Finally, the perspectives on the opportunities and challenges of laser micro/nanostructuring strategies and materials for micro/nanosensors are presented.

TL;DR: In this paper , a corpus of legal judgment documents in English is introduced and each part is annotated with a label coming from a list of pre-defined Rhetorical Roles.
Abstract: In populous countries, pending legal cases have been growing exponentially. There is a need for developing techniques for processing and organizing legal documents. In this paper, we introduce a new corpus for structuring legal documents. In particular, we introduce a corpus of legal judgment documents in English that are segmented into topical and coherent parts. Each of these parts is annotated with a label coming from a list of pre-defined Rhetorical Roles. We develop baseline models for automatically predicting rhetorical roles in a legal document based on the annotated corpus. Further, we show the application of rhetorical roles to improve performance on the tasks of summarization and legal judgment prediction. We release the corpus and baseline model code along with the paper.
TL;DR: In this article , a review of comparative studies of posted goods pricing on e-tail markets or markets in general is presented, where the main contributions are to develop an interdisciplinary framework structuring scholarly work on competitive pricing models and to analyze in how far research on offline markets applies to online retail markets.
Abstract: Abstract Past reviews of studies concerning competitive pricing strategies lack a unifying approach to interdisciplinarily structure research across economics, marketing management, and operations. This academic void is especially unfortunate for online markets as they show much higher competitive dynamics compared to their offline counterparts. We review 132 articles on competitive posted goods pricing on either e-tail markets or markets in general. Our main contributions are (1) to develop an interdisciplinary framework structuring scholarly work on competitive pricing models and (2) to analyze in how far research on offline markets applies to online retail markets.

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors present a systematic literature review focusing on a set of specific research questions about hybrid project management, including benefits, challenges, suitability, and prerequisites.
Abstract: Hybrid project management is an approach that combines traditional and agile project management techniques. The goal is to benefit from the strengths of each approach, and, at the same time avoid the weaknesses. However, due to the variety of hybrid methodologies that have been presented in the meantime, it is not easy to understand the differences or similarities of the methodologies, as well as, the advantages or disadvantages of the hybrid approach in general. Additionally, there is only fragmented knowledge about prerequisites and success factors for successfully implementing hybrid project management in organizations. Hence, the aim of this study is to provide a structured overview of the current state of research regarding the topic. To address this aim, we have conducted a systematic literature review focusing on a set of specific research questions. As a result, four different hybrid methodologies are discussed, as well as, the definition, benefits, challenges, suitability and prerequisites of hybrid project management. Our study contributes to knowledge by synthesizing and structuring prior work in this growing area of research, which serves as a basis for purposeful and targeted research in the future.
TL;DR: Labour regimes and global production TLDR: The book explores the conceptual development of labour regimes and their role in structuring, organizing and dynamics of global systems of production and reproduction.
Abstract: There has been a recent resurgence in interest in the theorization of labour regimes in various disciplines. This has taken the form of a concern to understand the role that labour regimes play in the structuring, organization and dynamics of global systems of production and reproduction. The concept has a long heritage that can be traced back to the 1970s and the contributions to this book seek to develop further this emerging field.<br><br>The book traces the intellectual development of labour regime concepts across various disciplines, notably political economy, development studies, sociology and geography. Building on these foundations it considers conceptual debates around labour regimes and global production relating to issues of scale, informality, gender, race, social reproduction, ecology and migration, and offers new insights into the work conditions of global production chains from Amazon's warehouses in the United States, to industrial production networks in the Global South, and to the dormitory towns of migrant workers in Czechia. It also explores recent mobilizations of labour regime analysis in relation to methods, theory and research practice.

TL;DR: In this paper , a review examines the status of development, process performance and life cycle environmental impact of the three major recycling routes for lithium ion batteries and considers the impact of changes in legislation in the European Union.
Abstract: This review examines the status of development, process performance and life cycle environmental impact of the three major recycling routes for lithium ion batteries and considers the impact of changes in legislation in the European Union (EU). Today, new lithium-ion battery-recycling technologies are under development while a change in the legal requirements for recycling targets is under way. Thus, an evaluation of the performance of these technologies is critical for stakeholders in politics, industry, and research. We evaluate 209 publications and compare three major recycling routes. An important aspect of this review is that we tackle the need for a critical evaluation of these recycling routes by introducing clear terms and creating a structuring scheme. Our evaluation criteria cover three areas: status of development, process performance, and life-cycle environmental impacts. With respect to development status, we provide an analysis of today’s market. A criterion of process performance is recycling efficiency, which today focuses on the mass of the recovered materials. To include the contributions of critical materials, we add a criterion for the efficiency of recovery of materials. Life-cycle assessments provide information on gross impacts, benefit of substituting virgin material and net impact. Present life-cycle assessments focus on waste management rather than on recovery of critical materials. This review contributes to an understanding of these trade-offs and supports discussion as to what is the “best” recycling route when targets conflict. Graphical Abstract There are three possible process sequences for each lithium-ion battery-recycling route. A distinction is made between pre-treatment steps (gray), direct physical treatment steps (green), pyro-metallurgical treatment (orange), and hydro-metallurgical treatment (blue). The figure is based on a figure from Doose et al. (Joule 3:2622–2646, 2019).
TL;DR: In this article , a multi-criteria decision support system that applies cognitive mapping and the decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory technique in a neutrosophic context is presented.
Abstract: Given the increasingly significant role of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the global economy and the ever more competitive markets in which these companies operate, SMEs' ability to adopt artificial intelligence (AI) technologies is of utmost importance. Due to constantly evolving social, environmental, and technological scenarios, the managers of these firms must increasingly focus on incorporating new tools such as AI into SME operations in order to enjoy their benefits. However, the subjectivity and complexity of this adaptation process makes integrated analyses of key factors challenging. The present study sought to develop a multi-criteria decision-support system that applies cognitive mapping and the decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory technique in a neutrosophic context. The main objective is to overcome the limitations of previous studies and models by structuring the decision problem and identifying and understanding which factors should be central to adaptation initiative analyses. A panel of experts in AI were recruited to facilitate the construction of an analysis system that takes into account indeterminacy in decision-making processes. The results were validated by both the panel members and project managers at COTEC Portugal-a leading think-and-action network that seeks to advance technology diffusion and business innovation cooperation. The proposed system's practical implications and benefits are also analyzed.
TL;DR: The concept of infrastructuring is discussed to understand Palantir as a surveillance platform, where it is theorized information standards like administrative metadata as phenomena for structuring social worlds in and through access to digital information.
Abstract: Abstract Palantir is among the most secretive and understudied surveillance firms globally. The company supplies information technology solutions for data integration and tracking to police and government agencies, humanitarian organizations, and corporations. To illuminate and learn more about Palantir’s opaque surveillance practices, we begin by sketching Palantir’s company history and contract network, followed by an explanation of key terms associated with Palantir’s technology area and a description of the firm’s platform ecosystem. We then summarize current scholarship on Palantir’s continuing role in policing, intelligence, and security operations. Our primary contribution and analysis are a computational topic modeling of Palantir’s surveillance patents (n = 155), including their topics and themes. We end by discussing the concept of infrastructuring to understand Palantir as a surveillance platform, where we theorize information standards like administrative metadata as phenomena for structuring social worlds in and through access to digital information.
TL;DR: In this article , the authors apply problem structuring methods, namely, fuzzy cognitive mapping and system dynamics, to develop a conceptual model that can be applied to analyses of banking industry digitalization.
Abstract: Digital transformation is becoming more common in an increasingly digital world, which has contributed to significant changes in business processes around the globe. In the banking industry, this approach allows banking institutions to provide improved customer experiences. However, the determinants of successful banking digitalization are still unclear, as are their cause-and-effect relationships. This article sought to apply problem structuring methods, namely, fuzzy cognitive mapping and system dynamics, to develop a conceptual model that can be applied to analyses of banking industry digitalization. The results are based on two group sessions that were held with a panel of decision makers who deal with banking digitalization processes on a daily basis. The findings were validated by a senior staff member responsible for banking project assessment and development at Caixa Geral de Depósitos S.A.—a Portuguese state-owned banking corporation. The approach adopted in this article is unique because digitalization determinants were collected and analyzed based on the participants’ know-how and experience. Static and dynamic analyses produced a deeper, broader understanding of the dynamic cause-and-effect relationships between the identified determinants of banking digitalization, giving rise to a realistic model that can be used to support relevant decision-making processes.
TL;DR: In this article , a large range of common food products on a diverse set of characteristics and then applied the psychometric paradigm to identify the dimensions structuring people's mental representations of the foods and used the foods' scores on the extracted dimensions to predict the healthiness judgments.
Abstract: Almost 40% of global mortality is attributable to an unhealthy diet, and adolescents and young adults are particularly affected by growing obesity rates. How do (young) people conceptualize and judge the healthiness of foods and how are the judgments embedded in people's mental representations of the food ecology? We asked respondents to rate a large range of common food products on a diverse set of characteristics and then applied the psychometric paradigm to identify the dimensions structuring people's mental representations of the foods. Respondents were also asked to rate each food in terms of its healthiness, and we used the foods' scores on the extracted dimensions to predict the healthiness judgments. We compared three groups of respondents: adolescents, lay adults, and nutrition experts. Naturalness levels (e.g., processing, artificial additives) and cholesterol and protein content emerged as the two central dimensions structuring respondents' mental representations of the foods. Relative to the other two groups, the adolescents' representations were less differentiated. Judged food healthiness was determined by multiple factors, but naturalness was the strongest predictor across all groups. Overall, the adolescents' responses showed considerable heterogeneity, suggesting a lack of solid food knowledge and the need for tailored nutrition education on specific food products and content characteristics.
