TL;DR: In this article, a flexible curtain is used to cover the front of the front seat of a vehicle from a bullet fired from the rear of the vehicle or from rearwardly of a front door.
Abstract: Removable bulletproof apparatus for the back of the front seat of a vehicle includes a transparent panel which is secured to or disposed adjacent to the front seat of the vehicle and a flexible curtain is secured to the bottom portion of the transparent panel. Both the transparent panel and the curtain are bulletproof. The curtain may be easily installed and easily removed from the transparent panel. The curtain is made of layers of fibrous material, such as woven cloth, preferably of an aramid fiber, such as a "Kevlar" cloth, or "SPECTRA SHIELD" material. Wing portions may be secured to the curtain and extended to door posts to provide additional protection for the occupants of the front seat from bullets fired from the rear of the vehicle or from rearwardly of the front door.
TL;DR: In this paper, the response of flexible laminates to ballistic impacts by projectiles of various geometries, namely, flat-ended, hemispherical, ogival (CRH 2.5) and conical (30° half-angle) was investigated.
TL;DR: A body armor vest, the principle components of which are SPECTRA SHIELD packages sandwiched between SPECTra woven fabric packages, and the combination of the carrier, packages, groin protector and securing devices contribute a more adaptable vest of increased projectile resistance, reduced weight and improved wearability as discussed by the authors.

TL;DR: Soft-matrix ballistic laminates (such as those composed of fibres of Ultra High Molecular-Weight Polyethylene, e.g. Dyneema® HB26 and Spectra Shield) find extensive use as catching type armour syst...
TL;DR: A reinforced soft and hard body armor utilizing a plurality of layers or plies of dissimilar ballistic material (32, 34) in combination with a reinforcing panel (40) positioned inwardly of the multiple plies with the reinforcing panel being constructed of a work hardenable material to reduce penetration of a projectile thereby reducing blunt trauma injury as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: An invention is reinforced soft and hard body armor utilizing a plurality of layers or plies of dissimilar ballistic material (32, 34) in combination with a reinforcing panel (40) positioned inwardly of the multiple plies of ballistic material with the reinforcing panel being constructed of a work hardenable material to reduce penetration of a projectile thereby reducing blunt trauma injury The multiple plies of ballistic material include a unique arrangement of multiple plies of an aramid fiber available under the trademark "Kevlar" or "TWARON" (34) and multiple plies of a non-woven ballistic material available under the trademark "Spectra Shield" (36) and the reinforcing panel (40) is a polycarbonate material such as available under the trademark "Lexan"
