TL;DR: In this article, a system and methods for integrating instant messaging (IM) services and email services through an address book database are described. But the authors focus on the integration of email services and IM services.
Abstract: Systems and methods for integrating instant messaging (IM) services and email services are described. In one embodiment, the email services and IM services are integrated through an address book database. The address book database correlates email information of a contact with a reference identifier (ID). Additionally, one or more IM addresses of the contact are also correlated to the reference ID, thereby permitting further correlation of a contact's IM information with the contact's email information.
TL;DR: In this paper, a method to identify character strings associated with potentially malicious software items is proposed, which employs a visual algorithm to translate one or more characters of a character string into corresponding characters in a visual ID for use in grouping and comparing computer items having similar visual IDs, such as a reference ID for a computer item that is known to be non-malicious.
Abstract: A method to identify character strings associated with potentially malicious software items. The method includes employing a visual algorithm to translate one or more characters of a character string into corresponding characters in a visual ID for use in grouping and comparing computer items having similar visual IDs, such as a reference ID for a computer item that is known to be non-malicious. The method may, among other things, elucidate an attacker's attempt to obfuscate malicious software by using file names that are very similar to those used for harmless files.
TL;DR: In this paper, a data processing apparatus for a vehicle which permits accurate and reliable registration of a key ID code in a vehicle is presented, which detects an ID code received in succession from outside and issues an engine control enable (OK) signal to an engine CPU.
Abstract: A data processing apparatus for a vehicle which permits accurate and reliable registration of a key ID code in a vehicle. ID code detecting means detects an ID code received in succession from outside. The ID code detected previously is registered in the memory 132 for previous ID code; the ID code detected this time is registered in the memory 133 for the present ID code. First comparing means compares the previous ID code with the present ID code and if the two ID codes match, then the ID code is registered as a reference ID code in an EEPROM. Second comparing means compares the present ID code with the reference ID code and if the two ID codes match, then it issues an engine control enable (OK) signal to an engine CPU.
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a scheme to obtain individual cryptographic communication and group communication at a high speed by using personal password and identification(ID) number and the ID number of a communication opposite party.
Abstract: PURPOSE: To easily attain individual cryptographic communication and group communication at a high speed by using personal password and identification(ID) number and the ID number of a communication opposite party. CONSTITUTION: When a password and an ID number are inputted, a comparator 2 compares the inputted password and ID number with a reference password and a reference ID number stored in a reference password.reference ID number storing part 1, and when both values coincide with each other, outputs a coincidence signal and a gate circuit 4 outputs a master key inputted from a master key storing part 3. Then a common use cryptography processing part 6 ciphers coupled ID number information obtained from a coupling circuit 5 by the master key passing through the gate circuit 4 to form the common use cryptographic key. TL;DR: UniPrime2 is a suite of publicly available software packages (Blastn, T-Coffee, GramAlign, Primer3), which reduces the laborious process of primer design, by integrating these programs into a single software pipeline.
Abstract: The UniPrime2 web server is a publicly available online resource which automatically designs large sets of universal primers when given a gene reference ID or Fasta sequence input by a user. UniPrime2 works by automatically retrieving and aligning homologous sequences from GenBank, identifying regions of conservation within the alignment, and generating suitable primers that can be used to amplify variable genomic regions. In essence, UniPrime2 is a suite of publicly available software packages (Blastn, T-Coffee, GramAlign, Primer3), which reduces the laborious process of primer design, by integrating these programs into a single software pipeline. Hence, UniPrime2 differs from previous primer design web services in that all steps are automated, linked, saved and phylogenetically delimited, only requiring a single user-defined gene reference ID or input sequence. We provide an overview of the web service and wet-laboratory validation of the primers generated. The system is freely accessible at: http://uniprime.batlab.eu.
