TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe a hardware/firmware implemented machine instruction apparatus which fetches a record descriptor containing a referenced data base record type from main memory, and a comparison of the fetched record descriptor and type is made.
Abstract: One of a series of hardware/firmware instructions for converting a general purpose digital computer into a database machine by adding the capability of handling data base records. The invention comprises a hardware/firmware implemented machine instruction apparatus which fetches a record descriptor containing a referenced data base record type from main memory. The record type of the record to be checked, which is pointed to by a base register, is also fetched from main memory, and a comparison of the fetched record descriptor and type is made. A condition code is set to indicate the result of the comparison.
TL;DR: In this article, a method for managing electronic records is presented, which includes forming a data file set comprising one or more logically related data files, identifying attributes of each record type in a record type template, identifying specifications of each data file type in the data file template, and extracting digital components from the set.
Abstract: A method for managing electronic records is provided. Each electronic record includes a data file, a plurality of data files, a portion of a data file, or portions of a plurality of data files. The electronic records include a plurality of record types and data file types. The method includes forming a data file set comprising one or more logically related data files; identifying attributes of each record type in a record type template; identifying specifications of each data file type in a data file type template; and extracting digital components from the data file set. The extracted digital components relate to the attributes in each record type template and the specifications in each data file type template and compose an individual record. The templates reference are mapped and related across a hierarchical and networked taxonomy. Analyzing semantic coherence within a given template taxonomy allows records to be defined, delineated and managed. An electronic record archive includes record type and data file type templates and a digital component extractor.
TL;DR: In this paper, a method, computer readable medium, and device for handling requests between different resource record types includes receiving at a traffic management device a first resource record type from one or more server devices in response to a request from a client device.
Abstract: A method, computer readable medium, and device for handling requests between different resource record types includes receiving at a traffic management device a first resource record type from one or more server devices in response to a request from a client device. The traffic management device validates the first resource record type, and creates a second resource record type corresponding to the first resource record type after the validating. Signing the second resource record type at the traffic management device is carried out for servicing the request from the client device.
TL;DR: In this article, a system and method for synchronizing records stored in differing formats in a shared data environment is presented, where a record file is generated and associated with the event.
Abstract: A system and method for synchronizing records stored in differing formats in a shared data environment. One aspect of the invention involves distinguishing a record without regard to its format. Once a record is introduced into the environment, it is detected. A record file is generated and associated with the event. A record file typically includes a record tag uniquely identifying a given record in the shared data environment and a record type indicating information such as whether or not the record represents a recurring event as well as the format of the record. A record file also contains data indicating the status of the particular event, that is, whether it is new, unchanged, modified, or deleted. When synchronizing, only those records with equivalent record tags are compared. The record type and status are then used to guide the synchronization of equivalent records.
TL;DR: In this article, a series of unique records may be published to establish and maintain ad hoc or online meetings on a peer-to-peer network and each of the published records has a global unique identifier (GUID) that uniquely and universally identifies each record types.
Abstract: A series of unique records may be published to establish and maintain ad hoc or online meetings on a peer-to-peer network. The published records include a creator record, a presentation record, a file sharing record, a friendly name record, and invitation status record, a capabilities record, and a presence record. Each of the published records has a global unique identifier (GUID) a uniquely and universally identifies each of the record types.
