Abstract: A method and system is described for implementing patient care management functionality. The disclosure includes querying a set of clinical rules and obtaining claims data containing clinical information relating to a plurality of patients. The system can identify patients that would benefit from care management and create a listing of markers, or conditions, associated with each identified patient based on the claims data containing clinical information relating to the patient. The system generates an individual care plan for a patient base on the identified markers and the claims data containing clinical information relating to the patient.
TL;DR: In this article, an exemplary implantable device includes control logic to determine a base state atrio-ventricular delay (e.g., PV base or AV base) based on the width of an atrial event and a value of a parameter δ that depends on the atrial events.
Abstract: An exemplary implantable device includes control logic to determine a base state atrio-ventricular delay (e.g., PV base or AV base) based on width of an atrial event (e.g., ΔP or ΔA) as measured during a patient base state and based on a value of a parameter δ that depends on the atrial event and control logic to determine an active state atrio-ventricular delay (e.g., PV active or AV active) based at least in part on a base state interval (e.g., DD base or AD base) measured during a patient base state and an active state interval (e.g., DD active or AD active) measured during a patient active state where such intervals extend from the end of a respective atrial event to the beginning of a respective ventricular QRS complex or a point within a respective ventricular QRS complex. Various other exemplary methods, devices, systems, etc., are also disclosed.
TL;DR: Dental school clinics once served a single purpose: To provide clinical experience for the school's students but are becoming more competitive in an effort to provide a solid financial base for the schools.
Abstract: Dental school clinics once served a single purpose: To provide clinical experience for the school's students. Clinic fees were low, the patient base generally consisted of those who could not afford private practice fees and long waits were expected. But times are changing. Dental school clinics are becoming more competitive in an effort to provide a solid financial base for the schools--in addition to their traditional educational mission.
