Abstract: A closed system odorant chamber or wick-style odorizer and method for transferring odorant to an odorant chamber is described. Two cylinders are connected to the odorant chamber, which in turn may be connected to a gas line. The pressure differential between the two cylinders causes odorant to flow into the odorant chamber until an appropriate odorant level is reached. After filling up the odorant chamber, the two cylinders are disconnected from the odorant chamber. TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a feasible management plan and showed feasibility results through the analysis of current available technology for small odorization technologies and the characteristics of small odorant system have been analyzed.
Abstract: In case of low odor level, accident probabilities are very high Otherwise, when the odorant concentration is too high, the deterioration of pipeline and governor facilities and the environmental problems may occur. Odorants fade in the pipeline and other equipment due to physical and chemical adsorption and reactions with odorant and materials. So, it is very important to maintain odorant concentration properly In this study, the current status of odorization technologies has been reviewed. And the characteristics of small odorant system have been analyzed. In case that the small odorant system Is introduced in our country, this paper is proposed the feasible management plan and showed feasibility results through the analysis of current available technology.
TL;DR: In this paper, the carrier gas is added to the main gas flowing in a miain gas line via a valve 7 controlled by a flow ratio regulator 8 to maintain the odorant content in fuel gas at a predetermined level.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To add an odorant properly and uniformly even when main gas flow is low, by injecting an odorant into the main gas by use of a highly odored carrier gas. CONSTITUTION:A predetermined amount of a carrier gas is fed through a carrier gas line 2 via a valve 4a controlled by a flow regulator. An odorant in an amt. corresponding to the flow of the carrier gas is fed from a tank 3 by means of a pump 6 for mixing in a mixer 5 to prepare an odorant-contg. carrier gas. The carrier gas is added to the main gas flowing in a miain gas line 1 via a valve 7 controlled by a flow ratio regulator 8 to maintain the odorant content in fuel gas at a predetermined level. Carrier gas which contains an excess amount of odorant is discharged through a buffer gas line 9 (9a is a resistor inserted in the line).
TL;DR: In this paper, an odorant discharging apparatus for automatic fire extinguishing equipment is presented, which has a simple structure and is installed on a passage of a gas transport pipe.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an odorant discharging apparatus for automatic fire extinguishing equipment. Instead of mixing an odorant with the content in a container of the automatic fire extinguishing equipment, an apparatus for discharging the odorant, which has a simple structure, is installed on a passage of a gas transport pipe. When a carbon dioxide is discharged automatically from the container of the automatic fire extinguishing equipment, discharging pressure breaks an ampoule of the odorant discharging apparatus, thus, mixes the odorant with the carbon dioxide.
TL;DR: In this paper, a portable fire extinguisher with an odorant was presented, which can prevent a secondary accident by attaching an odourant member to a portable Fire extinguisher used for extinguishing small fires.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a portable fire extinguisher with an odorant, which can prevent a secondary accident by attaching an odorant member to a portable fire extinguisher used for extinguishing small fire to check whether carbon dioxide, which is an extinguishing agent used for fire extinguishing, remains, and more particularly, to a fire extinguisher for discharging an extinguishing agent, which is carbon dioxide (CO2) compressed for fire extinguishing, by a predetermined pressure when a fire occurs. The fire extinguisher further comprises an odorant member for accommodating an odorant discharged together with the extinguishing agent. The odorant member includes: an odorant pipe formed in a hollow enclosure shape, having the odorant accommodated therein, and having one side screw-coupled to the outer surface of the fire extinguisher, and the other side connected to a hose through a pipe; and a pair of separation preventing films provided on both sides of the odorant pipe to prevent the leakage of the odorant contained in the odorant pipe. The separation preventing films are sequentially damaged by a discharge pressure of the extinguishing agent, and are discharged to the outside together with the extinguishing agent through the hose.
