Abstract: A hot melt composition for forming flowed-in closure liners or gaskets having a viscosity and resulting flow properties suitable for use in high speed, liner forming operations. The composition comprises between 20 and 55 percent of a thermoplastic elastomer chosen from the group consisting of block copolymers of the type having the general formula A-B-A or of the type having a plurality of chains of the general formula B-A radiating from a central hub. A is a thermoplastic segment, preferably polystyrene, and B is an elastomeric segment, preferably polybutadiene, polyisoprene, or polyethylene-butylene. The other ingredients in the composition may be extenders, antioxidants, fillers, pigments, lubricants, etc. as desired.

Abstract: The American Society for Apheresis (ASFA) Journal of Clinical Apheresis (JCA) Special Issue Writing Committee is charged with reviewing, updating, and categorizing indications for the evidence‐based use of therapeutic apheresis (TA) in human disease. In the Ninth Edition, the JCA Special Issue Writing Committee has incorporated systematic review and evidence‐based approaches in the grading of evidence and categorization of apheresis indications to make recommendations on the use of apheresis in a wide variety of diseases and conditions. This edition has largely maintained the general layout and concept of a fact sheet introduced in the Fourth Edition (2007). Each fact sheet succinctly summarizes the evidence for the use of TA in a specific disease or medical condition. The Ninth Edition of the JCA Special Issue comprises 91 fact sheets and 166 graded and categorized indications. This includes seven new fact sheets, nine new indications on existing fact sheets, and eight changes in the category for existing indications. The Ninth Edition of the JCA Special Issue seeks to continue to serve as a key resource that guides the utilization of TA in the treatment of human disease.

Abstract: The Globalization of World Politics is an introduction to international relations (IR) and offers coverage of key theories and global issues. The ninth edition has been updated to explore the most pressing topics and challenges that dominate international relations today, including a chapter on global health, which explores the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Pedagogical features—such as case studies and questions, a debating feature, and end-of-chapter questions—aid with the evaluation of key IR debates and the application of theory and IR concepts to real world events.
