TL;DR: In this article, an email server receives an email message sent from a terminal, adds, to the received email message, telephone number data and position information-associated map link information, which are items of the user information, and forwards the resultant email message to one or more recipient cellular telephones.
Abstract: An electronic mail (email) processing system set up on the Internet includes terminals that send and receive email messages, cellular telephones that send and receive email messages by radiocommunication through base stations, a mail server that performs the overall management of an email service, a client database, provided within the mail server, for storing user information about registered users who are clients of the email service, and a map database center and a map information provider site, both of which perform a map information providing function. In a specific embodiment, the mail server receives an email message sent from a terminal, adds, to the received email message, telephone number data and position information-associated map link information, which are items of the user information, and forwards the resultant email message to one or more recipient cellular telephones.
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a junk mail rejection system which can effectively reject junk mail in electronic mail by replacing a source with an acceptable electronic mail address registered in the first mail distribution service center.
Abstract: To provide a junk mail rejection system which can effectively reject junk mail in electronic mail. When junk mail transmitted from many and unspecified persons is sent to a first electronic mail address registered in a first mail distribution service center, sources of the junk mail are not acceptable electronic mail addresses, and a reception enable unit rejects receiving the junk mail, thereby avoiding transmission of the junk mail to subscribers. On the other hand, the electronic mail transmitted from many and unspecified persons and not to be rejected by the reception enable unit is transmitted to a second electronic mail address. The electronic mail to the second electronic mail address received by a second mail distribution service center is forwarded to a third mail distribution service center, and a replacement unit replaces a source with an acceptable electronic mail address registered in the first mail distribution service center, and the electronic mail is transmitted to the first mail distribution service center. Since the source is set to an acceptable electronic mail address, the reception enable unit in the first mail distribution service center enables reception, and a subscriber can receive the electronic mail.
TL;DR: In this article, a mail server analyzes header information, and if the header portion includes a broadcasting destination, the mail is stored by associating it with a TO destination, and Web data including the mail information is created.
Abstract: Upon reception of an electronic mail, a mail server analyzes header information. If a header portion includes no broadcasting destination (CC, BCC destination), a normal mail transmission process is performed. If the header portion includes a broadcasting destination, the mail is stored by associating it with a TO destination, and Web data including the mail information is created. When the TO destination draws out that mail from the mail server, the mail server registers the Web data in a viewable directory. Thus, the Web data is updated. The mail server further creates and sends an electronic mail notifying the broadcasting destination that the mail has been viewable.
TL;DR: In this article, the authors propose a solution to reduce the addition of a mail server, and to stably transmit image data of large capacity in a communication device for communicating the image data as an attachment file of e-mail.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce addition of a mail server, and to stably transmit image data of large capacity in a communication device for communicating the image data as an attachment file of e-mail. SOLUTION: Whether the image data are transmitted directly or via the mail server can be set according to a transmission partner, and the transmission partner of e-mail data is determined on the main server (S552) or a mate according to this setting. In a case of directly transmitting the image data to the mate, for example, a DNS MX record is acquired from the mail server (S556), and a transmission address is determined. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
TL;DR: In this article, a mail client sets a mail address read out from a first holding means and identification information to a mail header part as transmission source information, and a mail server takes out the mail address corresponding to the identification information set to the mail header parts from a third holding means.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic mail system which eliminates a need of informing an opposite party of the change of a mail address in the case changing the mail address and has the effect as a countermeasure against annoying mails. SOLUTION: The mail client sets a mail address read out from a first holding means and identification information to a mail header part as transmission source information and sets a mail address read out from a second holding means and identification information to the mail header part as transmission destination information. A mail server takes out the mail address corresponding to the identification information set to the mail header part from a third holding means and substitutes the main address taken out from the third holding means with the mail address set to the mail header part in the case of noncoincidence of the transmission source address and substitutes the mail address in the mail header part with the mail address taken out from the third holding means in the case of noncoincidence of the transmission destination address. TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed an electronic mail transfer system in which electronic mail transmitted to a temporary address of a user is transferred to a real mail address of the user by encrypting the real user and reception regulation information for regulating a reception of mail.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic mail transfer system in which electronic mail transmitted to a temporary mail address of a user is transferred to a real mail address of the user. SOLUTION: A temporary mail address generating apparatus 10 generates the temporary mail address by encrypting the real mail address of the user and reception regulation information for regulating a reception of mail. A transmitter who transmits electronic mail to the user transmits the electronic mail toward the temporary mail address of the user. In a mail transfer apparatus 30 which receives the electronic mail, a mail transfer deciding means 34 refers to the real mail address and reception regulation information extracted by decrypting the temporary mail address and decides whether or not the received electronic mail is to be transmitted toward the real mail address of the receiver. TL;DR: In this article, an electronic mail retransmission method was proposed, where the transmission failure information is sent from a network 1, and a transmission/reception part 2 receives the information.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic mail retransmission method, an electronic mail retransmission program and an electronic mail terminal device, which extract the mail address from the received mail when the mail transmission fails by transmitting a mail with an improper mail address, display a list of the mail addresses that are candidates in retransmission, select the mail address, and retransmit the mail. SOLUTION: When transmitting the mail with the improper mail address, transmission failure information is sent from a network 1, and a transmission/reception part 2 receives the information. The mail address candidate list of the retransmission mail is displayed on a display part 5 from a keyword related to the mail address of the other person to be transmitted to, stored in a RAM 8, the mail address is selected by an operation part 6, and the retransmission is executed.
