TL;DR: In this paper, a method and system for load balancing at a domain name server and internet mail server for mail messages where the system is modified to direct mail via sequentially selected mail servers is presented.
Abstract: A method and system for load balancing at a domain name server and internet mail server (11) for mail messages where the system is modified to direct mail via sequentially selected mail servers comprises a networked dynamic domain name server (12) computer communicating with a plurality of e-mail servers SMTP listeners (15, 16, 17), POP servers (31, 32) and a plurality of e-mail clients (10).
TL;DR: In this paper, a method for generating and distributing mail items includes creating a first and a second mail file, wherein each of the first and second mail files includes recipient address information, and wherein the first mail file is generated by a first user, and the second file is created by a second user.
Abstract: A method for generating and distributing mail items includes creating a first and a second mail file, wherein each of the first and second mail files includes recipient address information, and wherein the first mail file is generated by a first user, and the second mail file is generated by a second user. The first and second mail files are then transmitted to a mail service computer (110) over a global computer network (106) and printed (114), on a single sheet of media, a first mail item in accordance with the first mail file, and a second mail item in accordance with the second mail file. The first and second mail items are then placed into a surface mail system (120). The first mail item is addressed in accordance with the first recipient address information, and the second mail item is addressed in accordance with the second recipient address information. The mail item is then placed into the surface mail system (120) in such a way as to minimize handling damage, and to leverage available postal technology. The mail items are then delivered to the postal addresses of the intended recipients (130).
TL;DR: In this paper, an electronic mail epoxy server interposed between a mail server and a mail client for substituting for them by responding to information is able to transmit a mail acquisition request from the mail client to the mail server, to acquire a mail, to process the acquired mail, and to transmit the mail to the client.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform processing of mails and reduction in communication cost, without changing already existing systems by making a proxy server interposed between a mail server and a mail client. SOLUTION: An electronic mail epoxy server interposed between a mail server and a mail client for substituting for them by responding to information is able to transmit a mail acquisition request from the mail client to the mail server, to acquire a mail, to process the acquired mail, and to transmit the mail to the mail client.
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a system and a method, with which the security of electronic mail on the Internet can be kept without depending on whether or not a security function is packaged on the side of a client.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method, with which the security of electronic mail on the Internet can be kept without depending on whether or not a security function is packaged on the side of a client. SOLUTION: A proxy 4 is located between a mail server 2 on a LAN 1 and the Internet 5, a mail server 2, which receives plane sentence mail from a mail client 3, sends mail addressed to anywhere except for LM to the proxy 4 while keeping plane sentences as they are, and the proxy 4 enciphers the plane sentence and sends signed enciphered mail to the Internet 5 after adding the signature of a mail transmitter. Then, it is checked from the Internet whether the signed enciphered mail is revised or not and when the mail is not revised, the enciphered mail is deciphered and delivered to the mail server 2 as plane sentence mail but when the mail is revised, receiving of the mail is refused so that the revised mail can be prevented from entering the LAN 1.
TL;DR: In this article, a server receives mail information transmitted from clients and acquires a domain name from a destination address of the mail information from an encryption information file, when there is any domain name matched with the acquired domain name, the server conducts encryption.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an electronic mail from being intercepted and falsified without the need for encrypting/decoding by each client computer SOLUTION: A server receives mail information transmitted from clients and acquires a domain name from a destination address of the mail information The server retrieves a domain name matched with the acquired domain name from an encryption information file As a result of the retrieval, when there is any domain name matched with the acquired domain name, the server conducts encryption COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
TL;DR: The intention of this document, in conjunction with RFC 2958 is to enable MIME-enabled mail software, and other systems using Internet media types, to carry out Whois++ transactions.
Abstract: This document defines the expression of Whois++ protocol (RFC 1835) queries within MIME (Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions) (RFC 2046) media types. The intention of this document, in conjunction with RFC 2958 is to enable MIME-enabled mail software, and other systems using Internet media types, to carry out Whois++ transactions.
TL;DR: In this paper, a mail service system for enabling the receiver of mail to easily specify the sender of the mail is proposed. But it does not provide a mail change part for changing a different name corresponding to the mail address registered beforehand.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mail service system for enabling the receiver of mail to easily specify the sender of the mail. SOLUTION: This electronic mail service system for transmitting and receiving electronic mail to which a mail address used by the sender is at least attached is provided with a mail change part for changing a different name corresponding to the mail address registered beforehand so as to be added to the electronic mail or changing the mail address to the different name.
