TL;DR: A switch actuating device adapted for conjoint rotation with a rotatable assembly of a prime mover using a pair of sets of opposite surfaces to effect the axial movement of the switch operating means between its opposite positions.
Abstract: A switch actuating device adapted for conjoint rotation with a rotatable assembly of a prime mover. Means for mounting to the rotatable assembly so as to be conjointly rotatable therewith includes a pair of sets of opposite surfaces, and switch operating means conjointly rotatable with the mounting means is arranged for axial movement thereon between a pair of opposite positions. A pair of centrifugal weight members are responsive to the rotational speed of the device to effect the axial movement of the switch operating means between its opposite positions and include a pair of sets of means arranged for guiding engagement on the oppposite surface set pair upon the axial movement of the switch operating means between its opposite positions, respectively. A pair of springs are respectively biased between the centrifugal members. A method of assembling a switch actuating device is also disclosed.
TL;DR: In this article, the management of user information of both site server and regular web site users has been discussed, where a site server is provided with information stored thereon including preferences, roles, and details related to users.
Abstract: The present invention provides for the management of user information of both site server and regular web site users. A site server is provided with information stored thereon including preferences, roles, and details related to users. A database separate from the site server is also provided. The database has information stored thereon including preferences, roles, and details relating to the users. An identity of one of the users is authenticated. A single interface is displayed which provides the user access to both the site server and the database upon authentication of the identity of the user. The user is allowed to view and change the information that is stored on the site server and the database and that is associated with the user. The single interface is tailored based on the information associated with the user.
TL;DR: In this article, a user interface server coupled with applications, a display object store, and a window management system is proposed for the dynamic sharing of user interfaces and portions of them.
Abstract: There is provided a system and method for the dynamic sharing of user interfaces and portions of user interfaces. A user interface server coupled to applications, a display object store, and a window management system. The user interface server allows an application developer to provide an application with a user interface that is independent of any particular window management system. The user interface server provides applications with the ability to dynamically load user interfaces from the display object store and to attach any sub-hierarchy of a user interface, stored in the display object store, to a previously loaded user interface. The sub-hierarchy can be attached at any point which is consistent with parent-child relationships for components.
TL;DR: This model is based on the Model-View-Controller architecture (MVC) and has several other useful components like security, form generation and validation, database access and routing, and has the added benefit of correct and maintainable code.
TL;DR: In this paper, a method for management of performance of computer systems and applications includes prompting the user to select information for monitoring, monitoring the performance of applications running on servers, displaying data, and prompting users to input performance adjustments.
Abstract: A method for management of performance of computer systems and applications includes prompting the user to select information for monitoring, monitoring the performance of applications running on servers, displaying data, and prompting users to input performance adjustments. A user is prompted to select a server or server group, a resource, and a threshold or condition for notification, and in response a system compares the value or quality of the parameter to the threshold or condition, and provides a notification to the user in the event that the parameter reaches the threshold or condition. A method includes the steps of providing the user with performance information, receiving from the user a request for more specific performance information, and providing more detailed performance information. A method according to the invention includes the steps of receiving from the user an identification of a server as an authoritative server, another server as a comparison server, comparing runtime environment data in the form of one or more of CPU data, server data and Java data between the selected servers, and displaying differences to a user. A method of the invention includes the steps of receiving from the user an identification of a server as an authoritative server, and another server as a comparison server, and providing a list of matching and differing file names. The method may further include the step of receiving from the user a selection of a file, conducting a comparison of the files, and providing a result to the user. A method of the invention includes the steps of assigning a role to each user, and mapping between access to functions and each user role by an access control list, whereby access to functions is limited depending on the assigned role of the user.
