TL;DR: In this paper, the processor units are connected in series over individual interface controls, whereby the interfaces are expanded in comparison to the port interface without the interface conditions for the port being changed.
Abstract: For the purpose of connecting a plurality of independent processor units to a single port of a main memory, the processor units are connected in series over individual interface controls, whereby the interfaces are expanded in comparison to the port interface without the interface conditions for the port being changed. The interface controls operate in reciprocal dependency on one another so that the memory access request arising within the processor unit chain becomes effective in individual succession by way of a reciprocal inhibiting without address control, whereby variable connector controls in the interface lines determine the transmission path of both directions between the main memory and the respectively active processor depending upon status signals which, among other things, are influenced by interface signals. Termination of a write operation and clear down of a completed connection occurs by way of an internal interface line of the chain circuit. Given a read operation, the clear down of the connection path to the memory for the request already occurs with the beginning of the read data transmission given completion of the return connection path. For an additional lock mode, two additional internal interface lines are provided in conjunction with a monitoring and inhibit control in each interface control.

TL;DR: The FEARS program normally takes the problem's descriptive data from the run-stream, which is composed of the Geometry and of the Bilinear/Error matrices.
Abstract: : The FEARS program normally takes the problem's descriptive data from the run-stream. This input data is composed of the Geometry and of the Bilinear/Error matrices. Alternatively, this data can be read from a DUMP-file, which has been generated by a previous execution of FEARS. Once the initial data is read, FEARS enters into a command-mode. In the command-mode, the user must input a command (with some parameters) instructing the program about the next step to be taken. This mode allows the user to have complete control over the iteration process, step by step, reflecting the research nature of the program. On the other hand, the ITERATE command allows the iterations to be automatic. Once a STOP command is given, the run will be terminated. Printed output generated by FEARS consists of summary data after each iteration step. The user also has the option to reprint initial input and/or detailed information about the solution process during the iteration. The formats of these printouts are described. In addition, the DUMP command generates a dump-file of the data structure which can be used as input, either for FEARS itself, or for various postprocessors. Chapter 5 gives the computer dependent control statements necessary to run FEARS on the UNIVAC 1100 computer. The program is supplied with a dummy subroutine giving zero values for the bilinear matrices E and D. If these matrices are coordinate dependent, the user must supply the appropriate subroutine replacing the supplied dummy routine. This preparation must be performed prior to the use of FEARS.

The prescribed interlocking mechanism is actuated by actuating cam parts 51a and 52a. Thus a tape is transported in one of the two modes. After this, the other mode lever is slided. As a result, the plate 53 or 54 is displaced and reset through actuation cancel cam parts 51b, 51c, 52b and 52c respectively.
