Abstract: The author studies the observation of a psychotherapy of a patient initially
presenting a serious somatisation: diabetes flared up in the context of badly mentalised
psychotic functioning. The reorganisation of a homosexual core enabled the patient to better control the diabetes. Little by little a better mentalisation was organized making room
for an incestual functioning with his mother.
