Abstract: A press fit machine for assembling an electric motor which includes a hub having an upper bearing and a stator assembly having a lower bearing, includes an upper and lower press fit fixtures for holding the hub and stator respectively in a preloaded condition prior to motor assembly and for a predetermined period of time afterward. The machine press fits the two halves of the motor together while maintaining appropriate preloads on the upper and lower bearings to prevent excess looseness in the bearings or excessive stiffness. The preload ensures that the bearing will function correctly after assembly because it is maintained during a period of time that the glue joining the hub and stator assembly together sets.

Abstract: The invented manufacturing method includes following steps. (1) Uncoiling, flattening steel strip. (2) After three steps of stamping, through machine press and upgrading stamping mold, the steel strip is divided into two continuous jugged strips in same size. (3) Two strips of iron core are processed as two rounded helicoids loose iron core separated from the strips by wrapping machine. (4) With being located in mould, welding the said loose iron core obtains integral stator iron core having regular teeth and specific size. (5) Welded iron core put into shaping device through oil press is shaped. (6) Finishing step. The method provides advantages of high utilization rate, good quality of product, low price, and simple structure of equipment.

Abstract: Blanking production process will be required for mass production due to good product quality and lower production costs. For mini wrench products, blanking process can be done with a simple press tool. This analysis starting with design, manufacturing and than analysis. It’s concluded that the construction of simple press tool are Plate Material (ST 60), Pillar Material (ST 60), Punch and Dies Material (SKD 11 with 15 mm thickness and 0.108 mm clearance), stripper material (ST 37), the punch holder material (ST 37), and the stopper material (ST 37). Forces acting on the machine press tool are cutting force (37 kN), clamping force (371 N), and power press machine (8.5 kW). Keywords: Blanking, press tool
