Abstract: An electric power steering apparatus is composed of a wheel gear connected with a steering wheel, a worm shaft tooth-engaged with the wheel gear, and an electric motor rotatably driving the worm shaft in which a worm tooth portion of the worm shaft is formed with a compound lead Further, the worm shaft is fixed in an axial direction by at least one locknut provided at a portion of a separate side of the electric motor Further, one end of the worm shaft is rotatably supported through a ball bearing and is fixed by the locknut in the axial direction of the worm shaft, and the other end thereof is rotatably supported through another ball bearing or is fixed by a circlip through a disc-shaped spring in the axial direction Furthermore, only respective outer rings of the ball bearings are further secured to a housing in which the worm shaft and the wheel gear are disposed
TL;DR: In this paper, an industrial electric thermo-couple is installed in an installing hole more firmly and prevent the electric thermoscouple from being damaged caused by unfirm installation.
Abstract: The utility model relates to an industrial electric thermo-couple, particularly an electric thermo-couple used in an environment with higher pressure and temperature. The purpose of the invention is to install the electric thermo-couple in an installing hole more firmly and prevent the electric thermo-couple from being damaged caused by unfirm installation. The external surface of a metal protective tube (2) of the electric thermo-couple is fixed with a baffle plate (6); an external diameter of the baffle plate is larger than an internal diameter of the installing hole (8) for the electric thermo-couple and is smaller than an internal diameter of a fastening locknut (7). When the electric thermo-couple is installed, the baffle plate is positioned in the fastening locknut; the external diameter of the baffle plate is larger than the internal diameter of the installing hole (8) for the electric thermo-couple and is smaller than the internal diameter of the fastening locknut, the baffle plate is fixedly connected with the metal protective tube of the electric thermo-couple, and as a result, the electric thermo-couple is clamped in the fastening locknut after the fastening locknut is screwed; the firm installation can prevent the electric thermo-couple from jetting or being damaged. The utility model has the advantages of reasonable structure, convenient operation, firm installation, jetting prevention of the electric thermo-couple, etc. The utility model is especially suitable to be used in the environment with high pressure and temperature.
TL;DR: In this paper, a fast change and torque controlled barrel nut assembly for use on a variety of firearms is presented, which is made up of a generally cylindrically shaped barrel nut configured to adaptably connect a barrel to a firearm, a gas tube ring that is configured to fit over the barrel nut and a locknut that holds the tube ring in place.
Abstract: The present invention is a quick change and torque controlled barrel nut assembly for use on a variety of firearms The invention is made up of a generally cylindrically shaped barrel nut configured to adaptably connect a barrel to a firearm, a gas tube ring that is configured to fit over the barrel nut and a locknut that holds the gas tube ring in place This invention allows the gun barrel to be rapidly connected by connecting the barrel to the receiver portion of a firearm, placing the freely rotating stabilizing gas ring in a desired position and tightening the locknut to hold the stabilizing gas ring in place
TL;DR: A pipe-coupling device comprises a joint body having an opening 2 h with external threads 2 d to receive a pipe P, a locknut 5 having internal threads 5 a engaged with the external threads of the joint body 2, an annular core member 6 disposed within the locknut 6, and a plurality of locking members 7 retained in apertures 6 d of the core member to be spaced circumferentially apart from each other as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: A pipe-coupling device comprises a joint body 2 having an opening 2 h with external threads 2 d to receive a pipe P, a locknut 5 having internal threads 5 a engaged with the external threads 2 d of the joint body 2, an annular core member 6 disposed within the locknut 6, and a plurality of locking members 7 retained in apertures 6 d of the core member 6 to be spaced circumferentially apart from each other. Upon tightening rotation of the locknut 5 around the joint body 2, the internal conical surface 5 c of the locknut 5 slidably contacts with the conical surfaces 7 a of the locking members 7 so as to press the locking members 7 radially inwardly, to cause the gripping portions 7 b of the locking members 7 come into gripping engagement with the outer periphery of the inserted pipe P, thereby strongly preventing withdrawal of the pipe P from the joint body 2 even when the pipe is made of hard material.
TL;DR: An assembly and method for properly securing a device such as a bearing, pulley, sheave or the like to a shaft wherein a split tapered adapter is received about the shaft, the adapter having a first end of lesser diameter, a second end of greater diameter, and a tapered surface therebetween, and threads defined about the first end as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: An assembly and method is provided for properly securing a device such as a bearing, pulley, sheave or the like to a shaft wherein a split tapered adapter is received about the shaft, the adapter having a first end of lesser diameter, a second end of greater diameter, and a tapered surface therebetween, and threads defined about the first end of the adapter, a locknut is in threaded engagement with the first end of the adapter and a device received about the adapter. The locknut has a set of set screws carried therethrough and spaced therearound which are controlled such that the force developed thereby is adequate to clamp the adapter to the shaft and seat the device on the adapter yet is inadequate to move the device toward the second end of the adapter. A second plurality of set screws may be received through said locknut which generate adequate force to move the device up the adapter to achieve a predetermined location of the device. Alternatively, the locknut may be turned a predetermined member of degrees of rotation to force the device up the adapter by a predetermined amount. The adapter and locknut are also claimed.
