TL;DR: Six species of Leuctridae are now known for Guangxi including two additional species of Rhopalopsole and one Paraleuctra recorded for the first time, including the previously unknown female of R. duyuzhoui Sivec & Harper, 2008.
Abstract: The species of Leuctridae (Plecoptera) from Guangxi, China are reviewed. Two species of Rhopalopsole are described as new to science, R. cestroidea sp. nov. and R. triangulis sp. nov., belonging to the R. vietnamica group and the R. magnicerca group, respectively. Six species of Leuctridae are now known for Guangxi including two additional species of Rhopalopsole and one Paraleuctra recorded for the first time. The previously unknown female of R. duyuzhoui Sivec & Harper, 2008 is described from specimens from Guangxi. Characters are illustrated for the separation of R. furcospina (Wu, 1973) and R. sinensis Yang & Yang, 1993. Mitochondrial sequences of five Rhopalopsole species support their specific recognition.
TL;DR: Two new species of the genus Rhopalopsole are described and illustrated from Yunnan Province of southwestern China and are compared to similar taxa in the R. vietnamica and R. shaanxiensis groups.
Abstract: Two new species of the genus Rhopalopsole , R. brevidigitata Qian & Du, sp. nov. and R. faciursina Qian & Du, sp. nov. are described and illustrated from Yunnan Province of southwestern China. The new species are compared to similar taxa in the R. vietnamica and R. shaanxiensis groups, respectively.
Abstract: Paraleuctra cuihuashana sp. nov. , the first formally reported brachypterous stonefly of Leuctridae (Plecoptera) known from China, is described from Shaanxi Province of northwestern China. The new species is characterized by the short-winged male with unique hindwing venation and a finger-shaped process on cerci. The female of P. cuihuashana sp. nov. has variable wing length. Molecular data supported the distinctness of the new species and the widespread P. orientalis (Chu, 1928).
TL;DR: Three Leuctridae genera and species are reported from North Korea for the first time and three species are new country records for South Korea, increasing the number of stonefly species known from the Korean Peninsula to 82.
Abstract: Two new species of Korean needleflies, Perlomyia koreana sp. n. and P. lamellata sp. n. are described from North and South Korea. Additionally, two species, Paraleuctra paramalaisei sp. n. and Perlomyia baei sp. n. are described from South Korea. The previously unknown male of Perlomyia martynovi (Zhiltzova, 1975) is described from South Korean specimens associated with females. Leuctra fusca tergostyla Wu, 1973 comb. n. is proposed for the Far Eastern populations of the Eurosiberian L. fusca (Linnaeus, 1758). Three Leuctridae genera and species are reported from North Korea for the first time and three species are new country records for South Korea. The number of stonefly species known from the Korean Peninsula is increased to 82. A key is presented for the Leuctridae species known from Korean Peninsula including taxa that are expected to occur. Distributional maps are presented and additional notes on the habitats of Korean Leuctridae are given.
TL;DR: The first new species of Leuctridae (Plecoptera) from Jiangsu Province of eastern coastal China, Rhopalopsole vespertilio sp.
Abstract: The first new species of Leuctridae (Plecoptera) from Jiangsu Province of eastern coastal China, Rhopalopsole vespertilio sp. nov. is described and illustrated. The new species belongs to the R. magnicerca species group and is distinguished by the bat-like shaped central plate of tergum 10, by the medially narrowed subtrapezoidal transverse bars, and by the upcurved hook formed by the small epiproct. The new species is compared with similar taxa.
