TL;DR: Wu et al. as mentioned in this paper proposed a new genus Efibula lutea, E.H. Wu, and Resinicium granulare (Burt) S.H., and proposed new combinations based on extra-Taiwanese species: Amethicium leoninum (Burds. & Nissim), Cylindrobasidium inusitatum (Jacks. & Deard), and P.
Abstract: Material for the subfamilies Phlebioideae John Erikss., Phanerochaetoideae (Jiil.) Parm. and Hyphodermoideae John Erikss. of the Corticiaceae Herter, was mainly collected in 1987-1989 in Taiwan. One new genus, Efibula, is proposed. Sixty-two species are recognized, most of them new to Taiwan. Twenty-four new species are described: Efibula lutea, E. tropxca, Hyphoderma allantosporum, H. hjortstamii, H. macrosporum, H. microcystidium, H. neopuberum, Hyphodontia alba, H.fimbriata, H.formosana, H. mollis, H. niemelaei, H. subglobosa, Hypochnicium globosum, Phanerochaete albida, P. brunnea, P. intertexta, P. leptoderma, P. parmastoi, P. subglobosa, P. taiwaniana, Phlebia formosana, P. heterocystidia, and P. odontoidea.. Six new combinations are proposed: Amethicium chrysocreas (Berk. & Curt.) S.H. Wu, Hyphoderma mucronatum (Furukawa) S.H. Wu, Phanerochaete himalayensis (Dhingra) S.H. Wu, Pseudolagarobasidium calcareum (Cooke & Massee) S.H. Wu, P. subvinosum (Berk. & Br.) S.H. Wu, and Resinicium granulare (Burt) S.H. Wu. Further new combinations are made based on extra-Taiwanese species: Amethicium leoninum (Burds. & Nakas.) S.H. Wu, Cylindrobasidium inusitatum (Jacks. & Deard.) S.H. Wu, C. involutum (Jacks. & Deard.) S.H. Wu, Efibula avellanea (Bres.) S.H. Wu, E. deflectens (Karst.) S.H. Wu, E. pallidovirens (Bourd. & Galz.) S.H. Wu, Phlebia chiricahuaensis (Gilb. & Bud.) S.H. Wu, P. lutea (Jiil.) S.H. Wu. The term "medullary ilayer" is proposed for a basic structure in the subiculum. The name "ornatocystidium" is proposed for special cystidia found in the genus Subulicystidium. A new type of hyphae, the "quasi-binding hypha" is recognized in the Corticiaceae. The temperate element in the studied fungi in Taiwan comprises 23 species, only three of which are endemic. The warm-temperate-subtropical element consists of seven species, only one of which is new. Of the 32 species of the subtropical-tropical element, 22 are known only from Taiwan.
TL;DR: Based on molecular analysis, morphological studies, and crossing tests, nine preliminary taxa are shown to exist inside the species complex, and the two previously described segregate species H. subsetigerum and H. nudicephalum are confirmed.
TL;DR: The fungal flora of Korean wood-rotting fungi were studied for two years and 36 species were confirmed as unrecorded species to Korea and are registered here with Korean names and English descriptions.
Abstract: The fungal flora of Korean wood-rotting fungi were studied for two years from March of 1990 to February of 1992. Fresh fungi were collected from national parks, local areas, and islands throughout the country. Fleshy fungi of the Aphyllophorales were identified through specimen examination and literature studies. Total 217 species and 1 variety were counted, among which Aleurodiscus cerussatus, Botryobasidium obtusisporum, Ceraceomyces cystidiatus, Erythricium hypnophilum, Grandinia crustosa, Grandinia spathulata, Hyphoderma praetermissum, Hyphoderma roseocremeum, Hypochnicium bombycinum, Hypochnicium detriticum, Hypochnicium lundellii, Laeticorticium roseum, Mycoacia fuscoatra, Peniophora incarnata, Phanerochaete avellanea, Phanerochaete filamentosa, Phanerochaete martelliana, Phlebia lilascens, and Trechispora vaga under the Corticiaceae, Chondrostereum purpureum and Cystostereum subabruptum under the Stereaceae, Tomentella pilosa under the Thelephoraceae, Asterostroma laxum, Hymenochaete cruenta, Hymenochaete fuliginosa, Hymenochaete tabacina, Inonotus radiatus, and Phellinus pomaceus under the Hymenochaetaceae, Antrodia crassa, Antrodia serialis, Ceriporia reticulata, Oligoporus balsameus, Oligoporus guttulatus, Oxyporus cuneatus, Rigidoporus microporus, and Trichaptum laricinum under the Polyporaceae, total 36 species were confirmed as unrecorded species to Korea and are registered here with Korean names and English descriptions.
TL;DR: Of nine basidiomycetes isolated from soil, two are described as new species, Hyphoderma rubropunctatum and Crisiella gloeospora.
Abstract: Of nine basidiomycetes isolated from soil, two are described as new species, Hyphoderma rubropunctatum and Crisiella gloeospora. A note is appended on the basidial morphology of Vararia rhodospora isolated in culture from wood in contact with soil.
