TL;DR: In this paper, a game device for detecting an operation of a fishing rod giving an action to a lure and reproduce a more realistic fish tub is presented, which can detect inching movements to the fishing line and sag removal.
Abstract: A fishing game device which can detect an operation of a fishing rod giving an action to a lure and reproduce a more realistic fish tub. The fishing game device comprises a fishing rod having a fishing line fixed to a tip end thereof, a first slide table having a fixing end, by which a terminal end of the fishing line is fixed to the fishing game device, provided midway on a path of the fishing line extending from the fishing rod to the fixing end, and adapted to be laterally driven for providing a lateral pulling force, a sensing unit for detecting one of upward and downward, and rightward and leftward directions, in which the fishing rod mounted to the first slide table is oriented, a vibration unit for giving inching movements to the fishing line, a sag removing unit for elastically supporting a fishing line guide to remove sag in the fishing line so as to maintain the fishing line in constantly tightened state, and a second slide table adapted to be driven longitudinally for providing a pulling force in a longitudinal direction.
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe a bag for fishing accessories which can be worn without interfering with the fishing operation, whether standing, sitting, or walking, and the bag is capable of holding many different types of fishing accessories such as hooks, hooks, lures, weights, and tools.
Abstract: A carrier for fishing accessories which can be worn without interfering with the fishing operation, whether standing, sitting, or walking. Broadly, the carrier includes a pouch, carrying mechanism and fishing rod suspension device. The pouch is capable of holding many different types of fishing accessories. The versatile carrying mechanism, such as, an adjustable shoulder strap and waist strap, allows the fisherman to wear the pouch on the hip, back or shoulder, and on either the right side or left side of the body. The fishing rod suspension device supports and suspends the fishing rod from the pouch thereby freeing the fisherman's hands for rigging the line or performing other fishing operations. The carrier may also include a work surface, such as a magnetic plate, to hold fishing accessories such as flies, hooks, lures, weights, and tools.
TL;DR: In this article, a fishing lure is provided for executing oscillating motion when being pulled through the water, where a rigid wire is bent at one end into a fishing hook or alternately into a ring for holding a hook, and at the other end into ring.
Abstract: A fishing lure is provided for executing oscillating motion when being pulled through the water. A rigid wire is bent at one end into a fishing hook or alternately into a ring for holding a fishing hook, and at the other end into ring. The lure has one or alternately two protruding blades for controlling oscillating motion of the lure and a V-notch for holding a trailing bait securely. A buoyant plug or a weight may be used to change the degree of buoyancy of the lure. The position of the forward ring helps to stabilize the lure. Specific guidelines for the shape of the blades are given.
TL;DR: Semi-artificial lure for fishing visually simulates a live fish by embedding within a clear lure body the head end of a natural marine food, such as a small fish, and attaching an artificial tail made of flaccid plastic streamers which extend from the rear of the lure as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: Semi-artificial lure for fishing visually simulates a live fish by embedding within a clear lure body the head end of a natural marine food, such as a small fish, and attaching thereto an artificial tail made of flaccid plastic streamers which extend from the rear of the lure. Leader line extends from the front of the lure, through the mouth and partial belly of the embedded fish, and out through the rear end of the lure body. Hollow chamber, hidden from sight in belly of embedded fish, accommodates vibration-, scent-, ballast-, and light-producing accessories which attract live fish, without compromising the visual resemblance of the lure to a live bait fish.
TL;DR: In this paper, a live or artificial bait is impaled on a special tandem two-hook fish hook, and the lure may be controlled as to how it descends, front end first, rear end first or level, by adjustable hook weights.
Abstract: A fishing lure system, having a side to side oscillation, has a highly snag resistant flexible diving lip. A live or artificial bait is impaled on a special tandem two-hook fish hook. The lure may be controlled as to how it descends, front end first, rear end first, or level, by special adjustable hook weights, which are secured at a selected place on the hook shaft. The weights prevent lure spin and insure proper oscillation. A soft open cell, scent dispensing foam, is impaled on either hook shaft rearwardly of a fish or creature-like head, colorful jig having scent dispensing forward portion, feathers, hair, or plastic streamers for cascading over and around the rear hook. A novel coating retards destructive paint defacing problems so that a range of colors may be mixed to better replicate a live bait, tandem hook having rigid or flexible diving lip attached, rear hook positioned up or down and replaced with work shaft eye for optional hooks.
