Abstract: Twenty species in 17 genera of decapod crustaceans are reported from the Upper Miocene Mapulo Formation in Taysan, Batangas, southern Luzon and the Lower Pleistocene Man- dog Formation in Davao City, southeastern Mindanao, Philippines. Of these, Leucosia martini, Nursia bilobata, Pseudophilyra granulimarginata, Cryptolutea warreni, Demania pilipinas, and Hexapus granuliformis are described as new. Neocallichirus dijki (Martin, 1883), new combination is also included. In addition, three new combinations are proposed: Philyra shihchenii for Leucosia shihchenii Hu and Tao, 1979, from the Pliocene of Taiwan, Paranursia acharyai for Nursia acharyai Bachmayer and Mohanti, 1973, from the Miocene of India, and Cryptolutea litoralis for

Abstract: Hexapodid crabs are recorded from Taiwan for the first time. A new genus and new species, Latohexapus granosus, is described. Most similar to Hexapus and Hexapinus, Latohexapus can easily be distinguished by its proportionately much broader carapace with prominent granulated and well-defined regions, a very broad thoracic sternum which has a deep transverse groove between thoracic sternites 3 and 4, and a male first pleopod which extends well beyond the male telson. Paeduma orientalis (Rathbun, 1909) is also recorded from Taiwan on the basis of a female specimen.
TL;DR: Some stake net collections from Thevara and Mulavukad within the Cochin backwater region (S.W. India) procured five specimens of an undescribed species of Hexapus De Haan, H. (Hexapus) estuarinus n.
Abstract: Some stake net collections from Thevara and Mulavukad within the Cochin backwater region (S.W. India) procured five specimens of an undescribed species of Hexapus De Haan, H. (Hexapus) estuarinus n. sp. A perusal of literature has indicated that Alcock (1900) described another species of Hexapodinae from the Bay of Bengal (Lambdophallus sexpe.r). Hexapus sexpes (Fabricius) is also reported to have been collected from India. The substratum at the place of collection is covered with silt and clay and the morphological features such as the reduced eyes and the thick fringes of hairs on either sides of the inhalent opening of the branchial chamber above the base of chelipeds indicate that the species is well adapted to such an environment.
TL;DR: In this paper, the proton dissociation, iron-coordination, and molecular recognition behavior of a hexapus triaza[3.3]paracyclophane having three catechol moieties and six hydrocarbon chains was investigated in aqueous media.
