TL;DR: In this paper, a set of questionnaires that consisted of 33 items was adapted from Horwitz, Horwitz and Cope's (1986) Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale (FLCAS) and distributed to 199 students from four different faculties in UiTM Melaka.
Abstract: Speaking English in public or in front of peers in a classroom setting alone may create uneasy feelings to the speaker or presenter, especially to those who are not good in using a second language or foreign language. Hence, this particular study was conducted to evaluate university students’ speaking anxiety in English oral presentations in relation to their level of speaking anxiety, genders, programs and proficiency. A set of questionnaires that consisted of 33 items was adapted from Horwitz, Horwitz and Cope’s (1986) Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale (FLCAS) and distributed to 199 students from four different faculties in UiTM Melaka. The data gathered through the questionnaires was then analysed using statistical analysis (SPSS). The results indicated that the participants experienced moderate level of speaking anxiety during English oral presentations due to fear or negative evaluation by their peers. Regarding genders, there was a slightly different level of anxiety where female participants were identified to be more anxious compared to male participants. Moreover, there was no statistically significant difference detected in terms of the students’ programs and their level of speaking anxiety; however, the students’ English proficiency did affect their level of speaking anxiety. Therefore, the results of this study concluded that the students’ levels of speaking anxiety and proficiency were significant in identifying their overall speaking anxiety. Thus, this can assist both the lecturers and students on how to overcome the issue in the future.
TL;DR: By creating an auditorium full of people in Virtual Reality will help people develop the stage confidence public speaking needs, and a system to keep track of the users fumbling and his heart rate will be developed to understand how confident the person is.
Abstract: Glossophobia is the most common problem in today’s world. Glossophobia leads to the problem of lack of confidence, high blood pressure, depression and dry mouth. In this project we plan to create system that will help all these brilliant minds in making their voices heard. The major fear while public speaking is the crowd and the thought of messing up in front of so many people. We plan to overcome both these problems by using Virtual Reality. It is quite a new technology and therefore is still in a developmental stage, its potential is hidden. We think by creating an auditorium full of people in Virtual Reality will help people develop the stage confidence public speaking needs. We will develop a system to keep track of the users fumbling and his heart rate to understand how confident the person is. With all this information, the system will give him, a grade to make it engage, a few pointers and constructive criticism. In this system user’s Speech will be recorded, then it will be converted to text. Converted text will be compared using different text comparison algorithm to develop a result vector which will be used to generate result statistics and thus help user to know his/her skills.
TL;DR: In this paper, a study was conducted to find out the relationship between activity level and speech anxiety level of the students, which showed a strong correlation between the level of physical activity and the speech anxiety score.

There are lot of evidences relate to variety of health benefits following physical activity predominantly focuses on intra-personal factors such as physiological, cognitive and affective benefits. This study aims to find out the relationship between activity level and speech anxiety level of the students. Study design is a correlative design. Study includes 100 participants from K.G.College of Health sciences. All the subjects were selected using simple random sampling method. Customized Physical activity questionnaire was distributed to the participants to measure the physical activity carried by an individual. Followed by Personal report of public speaking anxiety (PRPSA) was given to the participants and asked them to fill up. Upon completion of the questionnaires, the data was tabulated and analyzed using Karl Pearson’s correlation method to find out the relationship between the variables. The result showed a strong correlation between the level of physical activity and speech anxiety score. The physical activity has a strong relationship with
