TL;DR: In this article, a high fidelity speaker array comprises a full range speaker board, a pair of tweeter boards disposed at an angle of from 120° to 165° with respect to said full-range speaker board.
Abstract: A high fidelity speaker array comprises a full range speaker board, a pair of tweeter boards disposed at an angle of from 120° to 165° with respect to said full range speaker board, and a pair of midrange speaker boards disposed at an angle between 5° and 85° with respect to said full range speaker board, each tweeter board being between and abutting said full range speaker board and a midrange speaker board.
TL;DR: A speaker cabinet of the type used in stereo systems is described in this paper, where a horizontal wall partitions the interior of the cabinet into an upper portion within which is positioned a full-range speaker member, and a lower part within which are positioned a low range speaker member.
Abstract: A speaker cabinet of the type used in stereo systems. A horizontal wall partitions the interior of the cabinet into an upper portion within which is positioned a full range speaker member, and a lower portion within which is positioned a low range speaker member. A pair of laterally spaced ports are formed in the partition wall to allow sound emanating from the low range speaker to enter into the upper portion of the cabinet. A horn associated with the full range speaker is spaced apart therefrom, in non-attached relation thereto to define a space between the full range speaker and the horn. Sound from the low range speaker and from the full range speaker enters into the space between the full range speaker and the horn and mixes so that the sound emanating from the horn is a full-bodied sound characterized by minimal distortion and substantial absence of unpleasing sounds of the type associated with speakers of the prior art.
TL;DR: In this paper, a multimedia sound system consisting of at least a USB/IEEE1394 interface, an external sound card, a group of control circuits or microprocessor chips that are matched with the sound card and the power amplifier, a PCB plate, and a pair of dual channel sound boxes is described.
Abstract: The invention relates to a multimedia sound system with a musical audio digital interface. The multimedia sound system comprises at least a USB/IEEE1394 interface, a USB/IEEE1394 external sound card, a group of D-typed or T-typed audio power amplifier chips or a group of control circuits or microprocessor chips that are matched with the sound card and the power amplifier, a PCB plate and at least a pair of dual channel sound boxes. Each sound box is at least provided with a full range speaker with double coils and double magnetic gaps or with a plurality of coils and a plurality of magnetic gaps with resistance loading property and approximate resistance loading property, wherein, the aperture is less than 7 inches, and only one conical single vibrating diaphragm is configured in the full range speaker; therefore, various high-fidelity or monitoring multimedia sound systems is formed, wherein, the working voltage is equal to or less than 5.25V and the output power is equal to or more than 2*1W under 3-4 ohm of loading.
TL;DR: In this article, a full range speaker unit 7 was mounted in front of a speaker box 3 and a sound outputted from the front of the unit 7 is picked up by a front load horn 4 and a low frequency sound from the rear of the speaker box 5 was picked up from a back load horn 5.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To make the speaker suitable for a speaker of a full range by outputting an intermediate and a high frequency component of a sound outputted from the speaker unit from a front load horn and outputting a low frequency sound from a back load horn an providing a throughhole on a side surface of the front load horn so as not to confine a reproduced sound within the horn. CONSTITUTION:A full range speaker unit 7 is mounted in front of a speaker box 3 and a sound outputted from the front of the unit 7 is picked up by a front load horn 4 and a sound outputted from the rear is picked up by a back load horn 5. Thus, the sound having a comparatively high frequency such as the sound of intermediate and high frequency is outputted via the horn 4 externally an a low frequency sound is outputted via the horn 5 externally. Furthermore, plural throughholes 4b with a small diameter are provided for the side surface of the horn 4 toward the unit 7 so as not to confine the sound of intermediate and high frequencies outputted externally via the horn 4 within the horn 4. Thus, the sound from the low to high frequencies is reproduced with superior sound quality.
TL;DR: In this article, sound reproduction systems that have superior response to pure bass frequency signals from musical instruments such as electric bass guitar and string bass are described, and speaker protection devices are also described that passively limit damaging pulses into speakers typically caused by plugging in equipment.
Abstract: Sound reproduction systems are described that have superior response to pure bass frequency signals from musical instruments such as electric bass guitar and string bass. A first amplifier drives a low frequency woofer and a second amplifier drives a full range speaker system. The bass component of the audio signal handled by the second amplifier is monitored and progressively compressed as the bass energy approaches a critical level that may damage one or more elements of the full range speaker. Speaker protection devices are also described that passively limit damaging pulses into speakers typically caused by plugging in equipment.
