Abstract: garden. I have also immersed myself in the key texts of the feminist spirituality movement; reading both to teach undergraduates and to find a way through for myself. Reading about the paradigm shift whose holistic, experiential and contextual quality is shared across a spectrum of writers has been an exciting experience in itself-but a sedentary, intellectual experience. I only know that their vision is also my vision when my being and doing come together as they do when I am a gardener. And to be a gardener is not, for me, a hobby, but a description of a holy state of being. It is working shoulder to shoulder with God.
