TL;DR: In this paper, the conjugate addition of HSO 2 -, formed from a charge transfer complex between EDIA and SO 2, is used to reduce α,β-unsaturated-γ-dicarbonyl compounds (esters or ketones) into α-dricarbonyls alkanes.
Abstract: Solutions of sulfur dioxide and N-ethyldiisopropylamine (EDIA) are able to reduce α,β-unsaturated-γ-dicarbonyl compounds (esters or ketones) into α-dicarbonyl alkanes. In contrast, monoactivated Michael acceptors, such as acrylates, give symmetrical sulfones. These processes involve the conjugate addition of HSO 2 - , formed from a charge-transfer complex between EDIA and SO 2 . Secondary amines are formed as byproducts. Triethylamine, which forms a more stable complex with sulfur dioxide than EDIA, is far less reactive toward the same substrates
TL;DR: Results confirmed that technology-based assessment can be used to make students’ learning visible in the three main domains of schooling, independently of the grade measured.
Abstract: The aims of this paper are: to show how the use of technology and the power of regular feedback can support personalized learning. The paper outlines a three-dimensional model of knowledge, which forms the theoretical foundation of the eDia system, it summarizes how results from research on learning and instruction, cognitive sciences and technology-based assessment can be integrated into a comprehensive online system, and it shows how such assessment can be implemented and used in everyday school practice to make learning visible, especially in the fields of mathematics, reading and science. The eDia system contains almost 20,000 innovative (multimedia-supported) tasks in the fields of mathematics, reading and science. A threedimensional approach distinguishes the content, application and reasoning aspects of learning. The sample for the experimental study was drawn from firstto sixth-grade students (aged 7 to 12) in Hungarian primary schools. There were 505 classes from 134 schools (N=10,737) in the sample. Results confirmed that technology-based assessment can be used to make students’ learning visible in the three main domains of schooling, independently of the grade measured. Item bank and scale-based assessment and detailed feedback can be used to support learning in a school context.
TL;DR: Wax from the glll mutant of maize lacks aldehydes, which constitute 20 % in the normal genotype, and is taken as evidence that the wild type elongation-decarboxylation I (EDI) pathway, leading to the synthesis of all the wax classes of compounds except esters, may be split into an early and a late group of reactions.
TL;DR: It was found that internet was the most preferred media sources to apply health information and TV/radio was the more reliable media sources among participants.
Abstract: Health information is a major component of health promotion. Health information increases the awareness, influences attitudes and knowledge related to the improvement of health. Information of health is widely available from different printed and electronic sources of media. The aim of this study is to determine the role of media sources for seeking health information in women. This descriptive study conducted in a Centre of Public Education in Corum. The data collected by using a 25-item questionnaire form containing socio-demographic futures women, using and understanding printed and electronic media sources for seeking health information. We assessed the data with SPSS package program by using percentage and Chi-Square test. We found that internet was the most preferred media sources to apply health information and TV/radio was the more reliable media sources among participants. To achieve correct health-related information, feel more confidence, assume health responsibility for self and their families, and increase community awareness, it will be useful emphasis on health promotion in televisions and radios which have a wide range audiences and dissemination of health-related public spots in these programs in county wide.
