TL;DR: The formaldehyde emission level of the MDF panels made with UF resin in this study was dramatically reduced by the addition of MF resin, and the formaldehyde contents measured by gas chromatography were directly proportional to the perforator values.
TL;DR: In this article, a desiccator was developed for moisture control in gelatin films containing different plasticizer types and contents, and the results showed that the films containing glycerol presented greater water absorption in comparison to films containing ethyleneglycol, diethylencol, and polypropylenlycol.
TL;DR: In this article, the effects of relative humidity and temperature on moisture sorption rate and stability profile of sodium bicarbonate powder exposed to various storage conditions were investigated using gravimetrical and acid-titration methods.

Abstract: Hygroscopic properties of densified softwood pellets were examined, namely, equilibrium moisture content and swelling response to different humidities at room temperature. The pellets consisted of sawdust particles of spruce (Picea spp.), Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii (Mirb.) Franco)) and lodgepole pine (Pinus contorta Dougl. ex Loud.). They were placed into desiccators of known humidities at room temperature. Moisture content, oven-dry basis, was determined and a linear relationship (R2=0.972) between equilibrium moisture content and humidity was found between 11% and 80% humidity. At 93% and near-100% humidity, the pellets disintegrated. The swelled diameters of the pellets, based on oven-dry diameter, were found to be non-linear with respect to humidity, and, despite the large statistical variation, the diameters at higher humidities were statistically greater.
TL;DR: Moisture sorption and desorption have been characterized for active (naproxen and paracetamol) and inactive pharmaceutical solids by using a climatic test chamber.
