Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retain the effect of a depurative by positively injecting and diffusing the depurative in purifying contaminated soil and/or underground water contamination by a volatile organic chlorine compound or nitrate nitrogen at the original position. SOLUTION: A technique for purifying the contaminated soil and/or underground water at the original position comprises: heating the depurative having a melting point exceeding the temperature in the soil or the underground water; liquefying the depurative to decrease viscosity; diffusing the depurative in liquid state into the contaminated soil and/or the underground water by the volatile organic chlorine compound or the nitrate nitrogen; solidifying the depurative accompanied by a decrease in the temperature to control the movement, fixation of the depurative.
