Abstract: Background Cucullia umbratica is known from Europe (from Spain to southern Fennoscandia), Russia, Afghanistan, Turkestan and Mongolia, in the Palearctic. In addition, introduction of this species to Canada has been reported recently. New information We report this species from Japan for the first time, from two locations at Hokkaidō. The earliest record is from 2015.

Abstract: . Forty two species of the family Noctuidae, excluding Saragossa siccanorum poecilographa Varga & Ronkay, 1991 are first reported form the Khabr National Park, Kerman, Iran. Cucullia cineracea argyllacea Hacker, Ronkay & Ronkay, 1990 is first reported for Iran. The distribution of each species is presented. Adults are illustrated together with notes on phenology and regional occurrence for each taxon. Maps illustrate the location of the Khabr National Park and its geographical location.

Abstract: ADDENDA AND CORRIGENDA TO THE NOCTUIDAE OF SOUTHERN lTALY (LEPIDOPTERA) This paper revises the Noctuidae collected in Southern ltaly. The species are sorted according to FIBIGER e HACKER (1991) while the chorotype follows VIGNA TAGLANTI et al. (1992), each item is comprehensive of full collecting data. For the first tirne the species reported are: Noctua tertia Mentzer et al. in ltaly; Dysgonia torri da (Gn.), in continental Italy; Noctua janthe (Bkh.), Naenia typica (L.), Dichonia convergens (D. & S.), Actinotia radiosa (Esp.), Episema tersa (D. & S.), Phragmitiphila nexa (Hb.), Atypha pulmonaris (Esp.), Eremodrina vicina castrensis (Berio & Fiumi) in Southern Italy. Cucullia blattariae (Esp.) does not exist in Southern Italy, where it is substituted by Cucullia caninaeRbr . Cucullia wredowi Costa, and Conistra camastra De Laever are synonyms of Cucullia calendu lae Tr. and Conistra veronicae (Hb). Dasypolia banghaasi Turati and Dasypolia calabrolucana Hartig are believed to be the local form of Dasypolia templi (Thunberg) (n. syn.). List of the species of Noctuidae in Southern Italy now comprises of 481 taxa; there were 459 known species up to 1984, plus 10 new records in this paper, plus 9 of BERlO (1985, 1991) (Autophila limbata (Stdgr.), Mythimna pallens L. , Hadena gueneei Stdgr., Omphalophana serrata (Tr.), Episema grueneri Bsd., Leucochlaena hispida (Geyer), Aporophi/a lueneburgensis (Frr.), Eumichtis lichenea (Hb.) and Conistra daubei (Dup.)) plus 3 of ZrLLI (1980, 1986) (Lacanobia splendens (Hb.), Mythimna pudorina (D. & S.) and Chilodes maritima (Tausch.)). In questo aggiornamento dei Nottuidi dell'Italia meridionale, risulta nuova per la fauna italiana Noctua tertia Mentzer et al.; Dysgonia torrida (Gn.), che era nota solo per la Sicilia, e segnalata per la prima volta per l'Italia peninsulare; sono riportate per la prima volta per l'Italia meridionale: Noctua janthe (Bkh.), Naenia typica (L.), Dichonia convergens (D. & S.), Actinotia radiosa (Esp.), Episema tersa (D. & S.), Phragmitiphila nexa (Hb.), Atypha pulmonaris (L.), Eremodrina vicina castrensis (Berio & Fiumi). Viene precisato che non fanno parte della lepidotterofauna dell'Italia meridionale: Cucullia blattariae (Esp.) sostituida da Cucullia caninae Rbr.; Cucullia wredowi Costa e Conistra cama stra De Laever, sinonimi rispettivamente di Cucullia calendulae Tr. e Conistra veronicae (Hb.) Dasypolia calabrolucana Hartig e Dasypolia banghaasi Turati sono poste in sinonimia di Dasypolia templi (Thunberg) (stat. nov.). Vengono inoltre forniti nuovi dati di cattura per specie rinvenute raramente in Italia meridionale. Con le dieci specie riportate in questa nota per la prima volta per l'Italia meridionale, cui si aggiungono le nove segnalate da BERlO (1985, 1991) (Autophila limbata (Stdgr.), Mythimna pal- lens (L.), Hadena gueneei (Stdgr.), Omphalophana serrata (Tr.), Episema grueneri Bsd., Leucochlaena hispida (Geyer), Aporophila lueneburgensis (Frr.), Eumichtis lichenea (Hb.) e Conistra daubei (Dup.)), e le tre segnalate da Zrnr (1980, 1986) (Lacanobia splendens (Hb.), Mythimna pudorina (D. & S.) e Chilodes maritima (Tausch.)), le specie di Nottuidi note per le regioni dell'Italia meridionale salgono a 481.
