Abstract: The historic landscape is an important component of a village, and the alteration of villages is a necessary process of development. To analyze characteristics of historic rural landscape alterations and the reasons behind them, this study utilized a landscape multifunctional approach and a comprehensive methodology comprising space syntax and field investigations. This study divides the historic rural landscape into two types, ecology-led and production-led patterns, which validate the relationship among ecology, social properties, and cultural connotation in space, offering a new perspective on the alteration of historic rural landscapes. Our findings indicate the interaction among ecology, production, and lives, both diachronically and synchronically, and suggest that it is possible to maintain ecological harmony, functional transformation, and the inheritance of cultural connotation through improving historic rural landscapes.
TL;DR: In this paper , the application of higher education curriculum ideology and politics in Architectural Drawing and Drafting, and subsequently proposes measures on how to better integrate the elements of ideology and political into the course content, hoping to provide reference for the teaching of architecture courses.
Abstract: Curriculum ideology and politics is an innovative concept in the implementation of the fundamental task of education – establishing moral education. Taking higher vocational schools’ Architectural Drawing and Drafting as an example, we search for the penetration point of course knowledge and skills by exploring the teaching resources of ideology and politics with the same connotation, realize the synergy of value leading in the process of imparting knowledge and cultivating skills, help students to establish ideals and beliefs, as well as cultivate patriotism and the spirit of craftsmanship among students. Teachers are responsible for teaching and educating people. Therefore, teachers should not only impart professional knowledge, but also emphasize on the elements of ideology and politics in the teaching of professional courses from the essence of “educating people,” which focuses on the organic combination of value leadership, knowledge transmission, and skills cultivation. It is worthwhile for every teacher to reflect deeply and put it into practice. This paper studies the application of higher education curriculum ideology and politics in Architectural Drawing and Drafting, and subsequently proposes measures on how to better integrate the elements of ideology and politics into the course content, hoping to provide reference for the teaching of architecture courses.
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors explored complex relationships between the formation and development of traditional sports and games (TSGs) and the natural environment by adopting a mixed method of two studies, taking 1356 TSGs as cases, and using spatial analysis to explore the representation, connotation, and source of the relationship between TSGs and natural environment factors.
Abstract: This study explores complex relationships between the formation and development of traditional sports and games (TSGs) and the natural environment by adopting a mixed method of two studies. First, taking 1356 TSGs as cases, Study 1 uses spatial analysis to explore the representation, connotation, and source of the relationship between TSGs and natural environment factors. Second, Study 2 uses grounded theory to analyze 149 official declaration documents of TSGs and extracts 36 initial concepts, 12 subcategories, and 4 core categories, from which a theoretical framework of the formation process model of TSGs is constructed. The findings illustrate that the formation and development of TSGs are not completely determined by the natural environment but are derived from a combination of factors such as survival values, beliefs, attitudes, and the natural environment. On one hand, when the natural environment is considered an external factor of society, TSGs are directly affected by it. On the other hand, when the natural environment is considered an internal factor of society, it can only interact with people's beliefs and attitudes and indirectly accelerate or delay TSG formation and development. Research results provide both theoretical and practice implications in the safeguarding of TSGs.
TL;DR: In this article, a re-conceptualization of a misinformed religious view about the African people is presented, and it is the belief of this work that African Religion is more appropriate and should be separated from different African cultural practices that have no continental acceptance.
Abstract: Reality is a universal philosophical problem that people try to explain its underlying principle from their subjective perception. Religion is one of those ways to explain this unknown principle with spiritual connotation. In this connection, Africa as an entity looks at reality in a different perspective, which in this work we term African Religion. But as this work observes, a misconception about African Religion gave birth to a contraption called „African Traditional Religion‟. On this note, this work sets forth to re-conceptualize a misinformed religious view about the African people. It is the belief of this work that African Religion is more appropriate and should be separated from different African cultural practices that have no continental acceptance even among the African people.
