Connotation

Abstract: Symbols occurring in Spanish popular poetry are found in all cultures, traditions and historical ages. Their meaning depend on their own contexts in order to be decodified. Sometimes, they may even present erotic connotation. Thus, a dictionary of symbols pave the way to organize a framework of the aspects, uses and meanings that symbols have, and have had, over the years. In other words, a dictionary its an important contribution to understand traditional poetry in its own terms.

Abstract: The analysis of poetry brings up questions that are normally not asked when analysing prose, at least not in the case of descriptive prose. This study was originated in the analysis of translated poetry and touches on controversial issues where many dogmas still stand unchallenged. Poetry and poetic prose are areas where the discourse is supposed to emphasize "connotation" rather than "denotation." Connotations are supposed to be subjective and therefore not amenable to serious research activity. This paper discusses the categories of overt and covert translation and offers a tentative approximation to an application of the tools of pragmatics to the analysis of selected poems and their translations. It is contended that the concept of relevance can be applied to poetry to explain -and perhaps limit- interpretations open to readers.

Abstract: On the basis of defining the connotation of society harmonious GDP,the paper analyzes the background of society harmonious GDP,and expounds the significance of the construction of harmonious socialist society,the implementation of the conception of scientific development view and five unifications and setting up the correct conception of political achievements.The paper finally compares society harmonious GDP,traditional GDP and green GDP.
