TL;DR: In this paper, the problem of managing the maximum number of files to be managed is solved by creating in succession history information of a file each time an action such as addition, revision or deletion of the file on the recording medium is effected.
Abstract: When the management area and the actual data area are separated beforehand in a filesystem and the management area is replicated to perform backup, the maximum number of files to be managed will be limited by the size of the management area because it is necessary to reserve the management area and the backup management area beforehand. In a filesystem in which the management area and the data area are recorded into a common area, it is impossible to use a replicating technique of the entire management area since there is no concept of the management area. The problem is solved by creating in succession history information of a file each time an action such as addition, revision or deletion of the file on the recording medium is effected, each history information including recorded positional information of the file on the recording medium and the type of the action on the file, related with the file identification information of the file; and recording the history information in a history table area, which is separated from the area where the files and management information are recorded, in the order in which the history information have been created.
TL;DR: In this paper, a common area extraction part extracts the area common to all of the images of the pages of a paper publication, and a non-common-area replacement part replaces the color of the portion outside the common area with the background color of each of the common areas.
Abstract: The image input part (3) in an authoring device (1) reads a plurality of pages of a paper publication and creates images of the pages. In the border eliminating part (9) of the authoring device (1), a common area extraction part (15) extracts the area common to all of the images of the pages. The layouts with respect to at least either text or drawings in this common area of the images resemble one another. The non common-area replacement part (19) replaces the color of the portion outside the common area of the images with the background color of the common area, so as to remove the border outside the common area of each of the images. An image output part (5) in the authoring device (1) outputs the data of the post-replacement images of all of the pages of the paper publication as the contents of an electronic publication.
TL;DR: In this paper, an area boundary between a system common area and a job private area is set at any page boundary independently from a segment boundary, and for the segment (boundary segment) containing the area boundary, a page table is prepared for each virtual address space.
Abstract: An area boundary between a system common area and a job private area is set at any page boundary independently from a segment boundary, and for the segment (boundary segment) containing the area boundary, a page table is prepared for each virtual address space. Thus, virtual pages which are not used as the system common area in the bondary segment can be used by jobs as job private areas. The real page is fixedly allocated to the virtual page belonging to the system common area in the boundary segment. Thus, it is not necessary to simultaneously update page tables for the system common area. Those virtual pages may be subjects of dynamic allocation of the virtual storage.
TL;DR: In this article, a vehicle periphery monitoring device capable of modifying a borderline on a bird's-eye-view image to a target the whole of which is not displayed on the image to enable the entire of the target to be displayed is presented.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle periphery monitoring device capable of modifying a borderline on a bird's-eye-view image to a target the whole of which is not displayed on the bird's-eye-view image to enable the whole of the target to be displayed.SOLUTION: To a plurality of feature points that are extracted from an image and determined as an obstacle located in a common area of a bird's-eye-view image that is a visual field area in common to a plurality of imaging devices with each other, on the basis of a predicted trajectory and time change when assuming a constant lapse time by using relative motion information obtained at a three-dimensional measurement processing part 43, "whether the feature point is imaged or not imaged" is predicted for each camera that uses the common area as the visual field area in common with each other to obtain a prediction result. In addition, on the basis of the prediction result, with respect to the common area of the bird's-eye-view image, a priority is given to a partial bird's-eye-view image taken by a camera that can image in a wider range the obstacle 131 whose feature points are extracted, and a connection part or a borderline of the bird's-eye-view images is modified in a feed-forward manner to make the obstacle 131 be displayed in a wider range on the bird's-eye-view image.
TL;DR: In this article, a system for receiving input for influencing media selection in a common area includes a management module (20), which establishes communication with the users in the common area to receive selection information therefrom.
Abstract: Methods for influencing media selection in a common area, include notifying (111) users to participate in influencing media selection, establishing (112) communication in the common area to receive selection information from the users and evaluating (122) the selection information in accordance with selection criteria for a given timeslot to determine a media selection to be played in the common area during the timeslot. A system for receiving input for influencing media selections in a common area includes a management module (20), which establishes communication with the users in a common area to receive selection information therefrom. A selection information module (24) provides options to the users and receives selection information from the users to evaluate in accordance with selection criteria for a given timeslot to determine a media selection to be played in the common area. A contact information device (32) notifies the users of available participation in influencing the media selection in the common area.
