TL;DR: In this paper, the thermal properties of 1 × 1 rib fabrics knitted by using various yarns of different properties were investigated with all details, the mentioned yarn properties were yarn count, yarn twist and combing process.
TL;DR: A new fabrication technique whereby aligned SWNTs and robust SWNT-polymer composites can be made using a fusion method of SWNT combing and layer-by-layer (LBL) assembly is reported.
Abstract: Oriented SWNTs in polymer composites have shown dramatic improvements in the physical properties of a composite because of the anisotropic shape and properties of SWNTs. Controlled alignment of SWNTs during composite fabrication implies better material function performance. This letter reports a new fabrication technique whereby aligned SWNTs and robust SWNT−polymer composites can be made using a fusion method of SWNT combing and layer-by-layer (LBL) assembly. As we previously reported, LBL assembly demonstrated exceptional processing ability in constructing the uniform distribution of a SWNT−polymer composite. Combined with this uniformity, this SWNT combing technique endows controlled alignment of single-stranded SWNTs in a SWNT−polymer composite system. SWNT combing employs air−water interfacial forces to change the molecular topography from the random adsorption state to the stretched alignment of SWNTs. More specifically, air−water interfacial forces are associated with an excess viscous drag force a...
TL;DR: Wet combing has been presented as a cheap, ecological, self sufficient, and feasible technique for diagnosis and treatment of head lice but its efficacy as a diagnostic tool and as a therapeutic intervention has not been proved; hence it is not evidence based.
Abstract: Lice infestation is a problem in local communities, probably because reservoirs remain undetected. Wet combing (combing systematically through wet, well conditioned hair with a fine toothed comb) has been presented as a cheap, ecological, self sufficient, and feasible technique for diagnosis and treatment of head lice.1-3 Compared with traditional scalp inspection it uses five elements to make living lice more visible, to better distinguish them from dandruff, and to assess the maturity of the infestation: water, conditioner, a fine toothed comb, a systematic sweep of the scalp, and a magnifying glass (10×). However, its efficacy as a diagnostic tool and as a therapeutic intervention has not been proved; hence it is not evidence based.
We did an observational study comparing detection of head lice using traditional scalp inspection and wet combing. After ethical approval had been obtained, all 260 pupils, aged 2-12 years, of a primary school in a socially deprived urban area …
TL;DR: In this paper, a high denier single spinning single yarn and the processing method is described and the yarn general branch is 35-60S/1. The yarn has little feather and big strength, good elasticity and good abrasion resistance.
Abstract: The invention discloses a high denier single spinning single yarn and the processing method. The yarn general branch is 35-60S/1. The material is pure wool or the mixing yarn by wool and terylene, mucilage glue, nylon, the cashmere and floret. It selects the proper material and the using mass in process; also in strip dye and combing process, the animal fiber such as wool, cashmere and floret is dying in low temperature, but for terylene, it uses the dye water in 130deg.C to add the assistant agent in dye or back treat process. In spinning process, it uses the compact spinning or multi spinning to protect the wool fiber and improve the dye quality. So the single yarn has little feather and big strength, good elasticity and good abrasion resistance.
