Abstract: This genus, erected by Hulst in 1896 for Cleora venata Grote, now includes four species. These are restricted to western North America, and apparently are of little economic signifiicance. E. venata ( = E. perangulata Hulst, n. syn.), E. griseata Grossbeck ( = E. moillietti Blackmore, n. syn.), E. packardala Taylor, and E. coolidgi Cassino and Swett are redescribed, and data are presented on the morphology of different stages, on life cycles and ecology, and on distribution of species. Keys are given to larvae and adults.
TL;DR: Apanteles expulsus has been recorded for the first time as larval parasitoid of Cleora cornaria feeding on the host plant Azadirachta indica (Neem) from Karnal, Haryana, India.
Abstract: Apanteles expulsus has been recorded for the first time as larval parasitoid of Cleora cornaria (Lepidoptera: Geometridae) feeding on the host plant Azadirachta indica (Neem) from Karnal, Haryana, India. This is the first record of larval parasitism associated with Cleora cornaria from India. In present study various hosts of larval parasitoid Apanteles spp. have also been discussed.
