Abstract: The detection of abnormal behaviors is one of the most important issues in the health monitoring system. Computer vision based techniques, usually combined with statistics, are labor-intensive, time-consuming and costly. Moreover, only monitoring but no help functions are provided. To overcome this limitation, this paper presents a ZigBee wireless sensor networks based detection and help system for elderly abnormal behaviors in service robot intelligent space. The main components of the system, including abnormal behaviors detection module, localization of abnormal behaviors, ceiling projector for robot navigation and development of ZigBee wireless sensor networks, are addressed in detail. Finally, we conclude this paper and future research direction is given.

Abstract: This paper is concerned with the implementation of ZigBee based wireless sensor networks, which has been applied in our service robot intelligent space successfully. A simplified ZigBee stack is proposed and the primitives of simplified ZigBee based wireless sensor networks are illustrated, which reduces the stack, thus the storage, size and cost of the nodes was brought down. To show the functionality of the ZigBee based wireless sensor networks in service robot intelligent space, we describe some of the components in detail, such as environmental sensors for environmental perception, home devices controllers for device control, localization system for positioning and ceiling projector for mobile robot navigation. Finally, we conclude this paper and the direction of future research are given.

Abstract: A ceiling mount apparatus including a mounting board mountable in a drop ceiling grid, a mounting support with a first end threadingly engaging a ceiling mount plate on a projector. A second end of the mounting support is fixedly mounted on the mounting board by a clamp. One end of a safety strap is attached to a fixed ceiling member and another end is attached to a fastener of the apparatus to prevent inadvertent dislodgement of the mounting board from the ceiling grid. A safety pin extends through diametrically opposed apertures on the second end of the mounting support to prevent the support member from inadvertently dislodging from the mounting board. The mounting board also includes a pre-mounted electrical outlet possessing a predetermined length of electrical cord.

Abstract: The invention discloses a virtual chess-playing system. The virtual chess-playing system comprises a master controller, a loudspeaker box and a power module, wherein the loudspeaker box and the power module are connected with the output end of the master controller. The master controller is connected with an electronic checkerboard device and a USB interface module, and the USB interface module is connected with a terminal. The input end of the master controller is connected with a camera, a key module and an infrared sensor, and the output end of the master controller is connected with a ceiling projector and a holographic projection screen. The electronic checkerboard device is arranged on a stone table, the ceiling projector is arranged above one side of the stone table and inclines outwards by a certain angle, the holographic projection screen is arranged on one side of the stone table and located in projection light of the ceiling projector, the camera is arranged above the stone table, and the infrared sensor, the USB interface module and the key module are arranged on one side of the stone table. The virtual chess-playing system can truly and vividly simulate a chess match among real persons and bring lots of fun to the dull life of people, and is high in control reliability, working stability and practicability, good in use effect and convenient to use and popularize.
