The cable tray has a plurality of slide locks including lock releases that allow the cable tray to move between a closed position and an open position with respect to the sidewalls. The cable tray also has a plurality of retainer clips that allow the patch panel to move between an upright position and a rotated position with respect to the cable tray.

The foil, fiber mat and encapsulated screen are mechanically secured together. The units can be assembled on the job site to form a cable tray for protecting control lines in a refinery or chemical plant.

Abstract: An underfloor cable tray assembly is combined with a raised floor and is intermediate the raised floor and a subfloor which supports both in an electrical equipment room. Uniformly spaced stanchions support raised floor joists and floor panels to establish the raised floor for the equipment. Instead of having the communication cables strung without order on the subfloor, the underfloor cable tray assembly is provided to route such communication cables in an orderly manner among the various pieces of equipment. The cable tray assembly is formed from modular cable tray sections having a U-shape in cross section and selected from straight sections, horizontal bends, horizontal tees, and crosses. Splice plates and threaded fasteners interconnect these selected cable tray sections to form the complete cable tray assembly. The top of the cable tray assembly is below the bottom of the floor joists, and the bottom of the cable tray assembly is above the subfloor so as to permit routing of power cables or other pipes or conduits below the cable tray assembly. The series of longitudinal wires comprises a pair of longitudinal edge wires which are disposed beside free ends of the parallel arms of the U-shaped transverse wires. The tray has protection members arranged in the regions of the nodes at which the longitudinal edge wires and the parallel arms of the U-shaped transverse wires intersect, in order to cover the free ends of the parallel arms.

Abstract: An overhead cabling system for a telecommunications switching center including one or more cable chute assemblies, a plurality of cable tray assemblies, and one or more cable ladder assemblies. The cable chute assemblies are mounted to the floor adjacent the ends of the cabinet suites. The cable ladder assemblies are supported by the cable chute assemblies and extend cross aisle between two or more cabinet suites. The cable tray assemblies are mounted to the tops of the cabinets which provide the sole support for the cable tray assemblies. The cable tray assemblies are modular and designed to fit on top of a single cabinet. The overhead cabling system does not require support from the walls or ceiling of the telecommunications center.
