Bifascioides

Abstract: An annotated list of Momphidae, Batrachedridae, Stathmopodidae and Cosmopterigidae (Lepidoptera) collected on the Maltese Islands is provided. Sixteen species are recorded (1 Momphidae, 1 Batrachedridae, 1 Stathmopodidae, 13 Cosmopterigidae), one of them is new to the Maltese Islands and Europe: Bifascioides leucomelanellus (Rebel, 1917) and three of them are new to the Maltese Islands: Mompha subbistrigella (Haworth, 1828), Anatrachyntis badia (Hodges, 1962), and Ascalenia echidnias (Meyrick, 1891). Mompha subbistrigella (Haworth, 1828) and Eteobalea serratella (Treitschke, 1833) are mentioned as new for Sardinia. K e y w o r d s .
