Abstract: A filter for separating a color signal and a luminance signal from a composite color television signal in which the frequency of said color signal is multiplexed in a high-frequency region of the luminance signal. In response to the movement of a picture, an appropriate filter is selected from a filter utilizing interframe correlation, a filter utilizing interfield correlation and a filter utiliz-ing the infield correlation. A plurality of filters utilizing filed correlation are prepared and a color signal and a luminance signal are separated by the processing of a principal pixel, which is an object of processing, and pixels different from each other. A filter is selected in accordance with the correlation state between the principal pixel and the pixels therearound.
TL;DR: In this article, a checkered pattern is used to arrange Y picture elements in an offset at a period of basic picture element and arrange offset structure to RGB at the basic sampling period.
Abstract: PURPOSE: To reproduce two color difference signals in an excellent color and to implement picture reproduction with high resolution by arranging Y picture elements in an offset at a period of basic picture element and arranging offset structure to RGB at the basic sampling period and at a period thrice the basic sampling period. CONSTITUTION: Y picture elements are arranged in a checkered pattern the same as the Bayer arrangement and sampled with high resolution. Offset sampling structure is adopted also for RGB. At first, a signal read from a CCD 1 is AD-converted by an A/D converter 12 and fed to respective processing blocks of YRGB by a color separator 22. A picture element corresponding to a part with no information is interpolated by an interpolation filter 14 to be a final Y signal. Similarly, the RGB signal is interpolated by the interpolation filter. The RGB signal passes through the filter above and is linearly converted into final R-Y, B-Y signals by a matrix computing element 21. COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
