Abstract: This chapter presents short information about a number of species belonging to the family Arctiidae and sub family Syntominae. Some of species discussed in the chapter are: Apisa (Apisa) arabica, Apisa (Apisa) canescens, Apisa (Dufraneella) fontainei, Apisa (Dujraneella) subcanescens, Automolis crassa, Automolis meteus, Balacra (Balacra) guillemei, and Balacra (Callobalacra) alberici. The chapter discusses the imago, male genitalia, female genitalia, early stages, biology and distribution of the species. The most characteristic features separating the taxon from the others are listed. The most important morphological characters are pointed out. Short information about published data concerning developmental stages is provided. All available information on host plants, life cycle, flying period and daily activity is provided. The distribution is alphabetically listed by names of countries.
