Abstract: This volume deals with the taxonomy and biology of the Dryinidae and Embolemidae (Hymenoptera: Chrysidoidea) of Fennoscandia and Denmark. These are parasitoids of leafhoppers and plant-hoppers (Homoptera Auchenorrhyncha). The first part of the book examines general aspects of morphology, biology, natural enemies, economic importance, fossils, evolution and affinities. The second part deals with the classification of the species living in Fennoscandia and Denmark, with keys, descriptions, geographic distribution, hosts and bionomics. The knowledge of the taxonomy and biology of the Dryinidae is important for biological control projects. The book is finely illustrated with 60 original drawings and 32 watercolours.

Abstract: The fauna of Dryinidae and Embolemidae from Anijima in Ogasawara Islands, Japan is surveyed. Five species of Dryinidae and one of Embolemidae. Gonatopus adelphos Mita & Olmi, sp. nov. and Ampulicomorpha viator Mita & Olmi, sp. nov. are described and illustrated. Gonatopus tambiniae (Esaki & Hashimoto) is recorded for the first time from Anijima. Anteon achterbergi Olmi, Gonatopus nigricans (R. Perkins) are recorded for the first time from Ogasawara Islands. The male of Dryinus sinicus Olmi is described for the first time. Gonatopus hagoromo Terayama & Ohbayashi is considered junior synonymous of Gonatopus tambiniae (Esaki & Hashimoto).

Abstract: Background Anteon is a speciose genus widespread in all zoogeographical regions, except Antarctica. New information A new species, Anteon hubeni sp. n., is described below from Ecuador, Pichincha Province. The new species is similar to Anteon oliveirai Olmi, known from Brazil, Minas Gerais. The main difference between these two species concerns the sculpture of the frons: in A. oliveirai, the frons shows two lateral keels around the orbits directed towards the antennal toruli, whereas in A. hubeni, these keels are not present. The key to the Neotropical species of Anteon is modified to include the new species.
